I recently got a new passion, COVERLESS books, I will share my acquisitions on this thread and show you famous comics like you never seen them before! (Because... yes unfortunately plenty of collectors didn't even open some of their books 1 time in their life :screwy:

In the other side I'm also removing the covers of my moderns books, ( i think to group them in bundle with a customed cover) so I will also share them and as I said before:

Be ready to... SEE THE COMICS LIKE YOU NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE!

OK let's begin the riddle contest!

We start today with an iconic issue, there is one panel in it which is absolutely famous and almost everyone already seen it in his life I guess, it would be too easy to show it... so you have to find the book with the splash page as only clue, I also hiden the title.

Let's see if you did your readers homework! lol

Good luck!20240723_085039.thumb.jpg.4aa136cfac93559902b840e235ac03d0.jpg

There is something inherently cool about coverless books. They're inherently FOR READING. They aren't trophies, they're comics. The splash pages make pretty great covers in and of themselves, and you can afford to buy keys that were way out of your price range before. Best of all, no more obsessing over spine ticks and creases. Condition is no longer a factor (as long as the book is otherwise complete.) Congratulations on your new area of interest. I think you're going to have a ton of fun with it.

Thank you even in fact if I'm truly concerned by the condition... as you see all the copies I posted are presenting really nice... If I didn't I could often have the opportunity to own some great piece of history... but I prefer to limit my acquisitions and be satisfied really by my books.

The GA Wonder Woman art is absolutely beautiful, and I admit to have a little crush for the first version of Etta Candy... lol

I totally overpaid... but sometimes you need lol

I cannot trust to got this book.

For me it's in a way the "Detective 27" of Robin.

Here we have "Star Spangled Comics 65" featuring the first solo adventure of Robin! forget the time he was just the febrile teenager on the back of the bat, now the boy wonder is gonna take the whole business himself and punching the bad guys!

I'm sure it's actually a pretty underestimated book, this is an important key issue for a charachter which never stop to gain popularity over time, and also a really rare book with actually only 50 issue on the Cgc Census! The book is starting to really up in value over the last few years, so really happy to found it to a low coast and my advise is that if you r interested in this one is maybe the time to buy before it will be too late! (Yes my last sentence is really look like these poor comics investment channel on YouTube lol

Ok we're back with an absolutely thrilling splash page featuring the Joker with his deadly smile!

My first war time Batman with this #28 of 1945, this book is presenting 4 amazing tales,

With an especially "ethic" one where Batman is going to Washington and which is speaking about the reform of the criminals.

I don't know if want to know the answer to this.

Did you pull the cover off this book?  Was it once whole before it passed through your hands?

I mean, many of us who have been following this thread are probably wondering.
