I guess they are moving around, it's supposed to be a farewell tour. It was good, but really, really long, John Waite was an opening act. We left before the encore for Foreigner, the place was packed, it was hot and there was so much beer going around I wanted to get out of the parking lot before the drinkers were on the road.

Audience seemed to love it, so I hope you have a great time.   We saw Creedance Clearwater Revival a few weeks ago with John Fogarty at the same venue. That concert was fantastic, if he's playing near you, I'd recommend it!

Good thought...maybe they can put that in the next guide. I was a little surprised to read that a fully split and detached cover cannot garner more than a 1.8. Not shocked because that is low, but because it is so high.  The book also says a detached cover can grade as high as a 5.0, but then goes on to say that grading a detached cover 4.0 is usually the max.

My grade bump gave me a great round!  3 points with 3 bullseyes is the best I've gotten in awhile.  Now I would just stop giving grade drops for the graders notes I would be doing great.

Weird Comics #17 - 1.0 FR 

My Great Love #1 - 4.5 VG+ (Rippling cover had me give it a 1 full point drop)

Tales of Suspense #42 - 4.0 VG (thanks grade bump!)

Green Lantern #38 - 9.4 NM (thanks grade bump

Spidey #44 - 6.5 FN+ (thought it may drop all the way to 6.0 with the multiple finger bends and bottom creases)

[Head grader] This TOS #42 is kind of a special case. Got a call from upstairs and it sounds like CCS really screwed the pooch on this one. This looked like a 4.0 book when it went in, but the top edge got some trauma, the bottom staple popped and the bottom spine split got even worse.

[2nd grader] Oh man, that is rough!

[Head grader] Now repeat after me. Fortunately...

I don't know that I've ever seen a 1.0 before. I have seen 1.5's, and that's what it looked like to me. Also, I don't know there's much point in a grade below this for a complete comic. When I was looking at it, I was thinking, "That's as bad as it gets for a complete comic, so it's a 1.5."

I got hurt (bad) on the MGL, which I gave a 7.5. Looking back on it, I don't know why I gave it that grade, unless I just mistyped the number. With the name written on the girl's forehead, I shouldn't have let it go any higher than 6.0, and then looked for other defects after that.

The TOS and GL grades were close to mine (3.5 and 9.2), so I was happy.

I over-graded the ASM. This is me thinking that CGC is lenient for older comics, so I arbitrarily bump them. I guess Silver age doesn't get the same bump as GA comics.
