Yah... at first I thought it may be too busy looking.

 

But when you step back and look at it for a while, slowly absorbing the flow and subtleties of the piece you really admire what Golden has done.

Agreed. It's the kinda piece that could benefit from some coloring too, to play up foreground vs. background a bit.

Picked these up at Wondercon this weekend. First is a sketch by Long Vo who does the art for the Marvel vs. Capcom games. Second are a couple of Adam Hughes' head sketches he was doing with a $5 minimum donation each morning there.

Got another one from Anthony Castrillo. This one's pretty much tailor made for me, combining my two comics loves: The Flash and ECs (especially Crime SuspenStories 22). For those that don't know, The Reverse Flash killed Flash's wife Iris by vibrating his hand into her head and scrambling her brains or something like that. Iris was at a costume party dressed as Batgirl, thus the costume on the body.
