Comments on this Action Comics #7

So, gentleman, my question to you is this. If this Action #7 were a #1, which issue would you rather have? This one with the holes punched, or the infamous 2.5 copy wtih the large piece missing out of the cover?

The worst thing about that other copy is the amount of mold on it.

I've seen an action 1 that is hole punched in a very similar fashion to this book - it's also a cgc 2.5. I think it came from the same original owner as this 7. Anyway, I would gladly pay at least 1.25x guide for this book and maybe 1.5x.

I missed buying it, but Metro had an 8.0 on their site for $30,000 about two years ago (for a brief period of time)

It wasn't certified, so who knows. But $30,000 was the 9.2 (or 9.4) price in overstreet that year.

It was. DC filed a lawsuit to stop "Wonderman"....said to be a Superman rip-off (It was). DC moved quickly. Wonder Comics 1 is covered dated may 1939. Papers filed March 16 with injunction hearing ("Judge if you do not stop this, we will be irreparably damaged."April 6. There never was a second appearance of Wonderman. jon
