That Seven Seas 5 is not slabbed. You should immediately send it to Sacramento so it can join its fellow raw Seven Seas in my collection.

I know its a sacrifice on your part, but you should consider what's best for the book. You don't want your slabbed books making fun of its raw state an harming its self-esteem.

There's a copy of the illusive #4 on Ebay right now. I would've gone after it, but I really want a higher grade copy for that specific book.

There is a raw #5 in an ebay store right now - why don't you get that one?

Seven Seas #5

That looks better than a VG, even taking the small scan into account. Can you post a scan when you get it, Skybolt?

Sure thing. The book in question is the same one I took a group pic of, but here's a larger sca:

I do agree that structurally the book looks like a 6.0/6.5, but it does have a stain on the inside cover, and a 1/4" hole in one of the inside story panels. That being said, I was happy with the book.

Fantastic looking copy. I can see the stain to the left of the girl's left foot. Still, a great looking VG that's probably undergraded.

Thanks Skybolt!

I've covered most of my trip already, I just wanna

make sure I get to sample that elusive perfect barley

pop as much as possible!!!

Your collection has helped inspire and inform my own

choices in GGA art BTW!

I'd pass on that #4 also. It's got a chunk from the cover and it's overpriced (IMHO). I'm off the GA buying wagon for a while anyway. I paid a tad over guide for SNE's VG+ Batman 121 this morning. Let's hope it truly is 4.0 or better when it arrives in this mail. Still better than paying 3x guide for the CGC 6.0 121 they also sold.

hello all...

here is a shot of a batman run I am putting together for a customer...

thanks

rick

This makes me think back. In the late 70s, didn't Camelot in Houston have a couple of headboards with Batman 1-10 and Superman 1-10 encased in them? I only went there once, and I remember being overwhelmed (Frazetta art, etc), but I know I saw something like that.

Yeah, I pretty much stick with VF and above. The #132 has White Pages! yay.gif

Of course, compared to your collection skybolt, my GA Captain Marvel Books are trifling. I have come so close to passing on some of these for some GGA awesomeness. So close. grin.gif

Wow!

I can't believe what I have been missing not scanning this section much.

Incredible books by all.

Thanks for the privilege of seeing such rare books!

And it's a pretty regular show around here. Stick around a while and you'll see some wonders, but be warned... hanging out in the GA section can/will cause an addiction that will consume your collecting world thumbsup2.gif
