Christmas Supersnipes are special...

But I like any of those Supersnipes. Early is better but there were also some good stories by Marcoux in Army and Navy 1.

Boardies need to read Supersnipe issues. They are a great treasure of fun reads.

My old thread needs a bump so maybe I'll upgrade a book and post it.

I added a few more covers to my Blue Ribbon group. Thanks Tom for making such nice covers. About half of these aren't real but the interior is the correct Blue Ribbon comic. Thanks to Howard Keltner for getting me interested in MLJ fifty years ago.

Detective comics are still top dog in my collection. I added a few covers to the coverless copies in that box too.

Two copies are complete copies (real covers) from my duplicate box. Detective 84 is a duplicate with an old cover that I made with a cheap HP printer. It looks washed out compared to the bright colors on Tom's covers...and they fit better too. :headbang:

Thanks for the comments guys. Oh, I forgot, the Blue Ribbon 1 is just an original cover with a Funny Animals interior. Someone gave it to me but I have forgotten who it was. (shrug)

I like the Barks' stories but any of the stories with Ducks or mice were read with Christmas joy in my heart. :cloud9:

I should mention that I read Christmas Parade 8 and 9 when I was young but didn't see Christmas Parade 1 and 2 until they appeared as reprints in the sixties, 10 years later.

The above painting by Barks describes what trying to buy Disney Comics was like back in the eighties.
