Whats more addictive??

12 posts in this topic

This year due to a nice bonus at the old job I have been able to dabble in the hobby a bit more financially wise than I did previously. One of the things I have discovered are the SS books (just ask Beyonder & AlexH hi.gif )...cant get enough of them!! cloud9.gif

But also I have been collecting OA as of late (Byrne, Mignola, Cockrum) and cant help myself when it comes to these either!! 893applaud-thumb.gif

So for all those who collect both...which one is the more addictive for you?? yay.gif

Neither for me. I have no interest in SS books or OA.

If I couldn't buy it on the stand when I was growing up, I have no innate reason to collect it now. confused-smiley-013.gif

Not so with me; these boards have peaked my interest in areas of the hobby I never knew existed (UG's and mag's have been the focus for quite a while now….even have some OA).

I guess it really comes down to WHY you collect. I long outgrew the "reading new comics as entertainment" medium, but I still love buying (and reading) comics from when I was younger.

So basically, I left comics behind a very long time ago, and all that remains is nostalgia.

I still love a reading a good comic. Never had any feelings for signitures, although I do have an FF #14 and FF #15, that have Stan and Jack's autograph on the first page which is cool to have. But then I couldn't say that they signed them. The previous owner said he had them signed. Who knows!

I've got a TTA 27 with either stans or jacks signature on the inside first page. Can't remember which. I just bought the comic and found the signature, and I'd bet money it's authentic.

Makes it fun.
