Pre-Code Horror Logo revisited...

Ive been working on it sparingly this last week or so. I started to detail the zombie head etc...I have a couple of versions one I ran thru a Photoshop filter to give it a old comic printers look (its the zoomed/cropped pic). Just sharing and sorry for being off topic

I love the benday effect, what photoshop filter was that?

filter - pixelate - color halftone I too like the effect but there is a grid in there that Im not diggin so much. Ill have to mess with it.

oops I meant to post this as well. Text still needs work as well as the tombstone, hands and that tree will be either gone or replaced.

A slight amount of Gaussian blur then the Sharpen filter might help get rid of that "grid" effect.

if you start with a lower resolution image in photoshop, then color halftone it, you'll get that big dot effect you were talking on. Is the rest of your portfolio online?

I think that's the first time I've heard somebody mention benday on these boards. Always liked the effect in GA art. And one of my favorite benday pages is the first Bullseye splash in Daredevil #131.
