You'd be surprised how many ways you can spice up Ramen Noodles

I've found that finely shredded Heritage packaging has just the zest I'm looking for.

@sagii convinced me to live off ramen noodles for awhile. :nyah:

After giving up on this book earlier in the week, I threw reason to the wind and was fortunate enough to win my first ever Fox book last night!  I love these really early sci-fi covers. :x

Thanks!  I'm a sucker for those sci-fi covers, especially when exceptional artists like Lou Fine are involved.

Jared -- Super congratulations!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the early Fox / Lou Fine club! :applause:

You started off with a TOTALLY awesome issue that rarely shows up. Your copy has great vivid colors, kudos! I'm a sucker for x-ray irradiation imaging effects, as you can probably guess from my avatar, so I really love that book you nabbed!

My only question is: what Fox book is next?

One of my collecting goals for the new year was to buy my first Lou Fine Fox book.  I gave it a good try, but I’m out! $2,000 with BP already?
Back to Fiction House where I belong.

Wow!

Wowza is definitely right as it looks like yesterday's Heritage Sunday Auction had 7 of the early Mystery Men run from MM 2 through MM 12 in similar grade range and it looks like they all sold for huge multiples to their condition guide valuation:  :whatthe:  :applause:

MM2 in 2.5 going for $2,900 really blew my mind. That was another one I was targeting.

Thanks Jay!

This is really my first time branching out since getting into golden age books and being so focused on Planet Comics and a few other Fiction House books.  These early Fox books are just pretty special and I can resist no longer!

Weird 2, MM9, and Planet 58. Any others in the “x-Ray irradiation imaging” category?

What comes next? Well, I like Wonderworld, Mystery Men, Fantastic, Science, and Weird, mostly the Fine and Simon covers.

Why can’t I ever fall in love with a run of cheap books?

Well, like the MM 9 which you managed to pick up, the Mystery Men 2 is another very bright and beautiful sifi cover and also hard to beat as it is the second robot cover in the comics.  :luhv:

BTW:  Big congrats on your Mystery Men 9 as that is just one tough book to track down, especially in grade since there's only 1 copy graded to date above a CGC 5.5 after all these long years of comic book certification.  :applause:

nothing quite as cool as the 48 fox books thru 7/40.   probably the favorite part of my g.a. collection these days, and i would've never thought i'd prize something above the timelys.

you need to throw the first 3 blue beetles in there, spyder.
