in case y’all were wondering, upgrades of mm 7 & 8 did NOT make their way to me this w’kend, dammit.

Must have missed these two listings, but where were they being offered and what were the grades on them?  ???

Mystery Men 7 definitely appears to be a real toughie since the highest graded copy to date is the Church copy at an un-Church like grade of only CGC 8.0, while it looks like your CGC 4.0 graded copy is the second highest graded copy so far.  Not sure if you will be able to find a higher graded copy anytime soon, especially since it appears the the Larson copy is listed as having a clipped coupon out of the back cover.  :frown:

The Larson MM 7 is my book, and that’s correct (I love it just the same :cloud9:).

Always thought that Mystery Men 3 was the go to MM book for Fox collectors to go for after Mystery Men 1.  hm

Doesn't appear to be the case in this just completed Heritage Auction since this copy of Mystery Men 4 ended up selling for more than the Mystery Men 3:

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Mystery Men Comics #4 (Fox, 1939) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Off-white to white pages....

The above copy of Mystery Men 4 sold for $3,360 as compared to only $2,280 for the Mystery Men 3:  :whatthe:

Golden Age (1938-1955):Superhero, Mystery Men Comics #3 (Fox, 1939) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Cream to off-white pages....

I think it's a case of buying the book and not the CGC grade.  The MM 4 looked significantly nicer (and also had better page quality) despite having the same grade.
