Well, I have THIS copy that I've had for quite a while and Steve Ditko and Stan are BOTH credited with writing the story, so that might be what you remember seeing.

Actually, pretty much every certified copy I have in the area are labeled with Ditko getting a writing credit!

One of the reasons he left was because he didn't like Stan revealing that Norman was the GG.  That's why he left when those issues came out.
