Prices are just crazy. Great if you own them but horrible if you are still looking. I ended up finishing 2nd on the 13 9.2 and I thought I had it and then I didn’t . The hunt continues.

Thanks.  Been really lucky (and grateful) that the last couple issues I’ve picked up have all had really good eye appeal for the grade.

Two recent pick-ups have me soooo close to a full run.

The #6 is about a 3.0 and the #10 seems to be a 4.0 - 4.5. Could bump a bit higher but that crease on the bottom right is too big I would think, even with a pancake. The #10 is a resto as the middle two wraps are married from another book. Stellar job though, barely noticeable.

I only need a #'s 2, 3, 9 and Annual #1 for a full run to today

What do you guys think about remaindered copies? There is a nearby shop that has an Annual #1 with half the cover missing - how does CGC grade these? I wonder if it might be worth buying, slabbing, selling and trying to get a low grade raw with a complete cover? Just did that with a low grade copy of ASM #15 that graded 1.8... think the upgraded raw I bought will be a 3.0 or 3.5...

Anyway how the heck do you price these and is there any chance a remaindered book gets above a .5? Or will it even get that?

Nothing like an off-the-charts CLINK ASM auction to get the old Spidey sense tingling and juices flowing!  The #3 9.0 OWW went for a cool $15,750!   As mentioned the #4 9.0 OWW went for an astounding $18,001 and had a date stamp...which I generally am fond of but for some is distracting/detrimental.  The #5 OWW out of nowhere went for $9,333 almost achieving the $10K mark.  The #6 CROW (CREAM TO OFF WHITE) and a date stamp has to be a record for a CROW copy in this grade at $7,600.  The 9.0 OWW a cool $8,850.   And the piece-de-resistance #14 OWW a very nice $17,250 ...seems like just yesterday I got my copy for around $3K.

Had to give Jordy a call on this one and soak up the results.  As some of you know don't get on the boards much anymore and stand pretty pat with my ASM 1-20 in 9.0...and thus I have switched my collecting focus to my wine collection.  But certainly feels like an appropriate time to post my set which of course I never get tired of (and hell, at least you folks appreciate...  )

Hey Chris...hope all is well.  Everything good on my end and looking forward to retirement next year.  Somewhat sadly I've sold off all my FF except for my #1 which I will never sell...but in my quest for a matching 1-20 9.0 it was just getting too expensive so I chose to bail out.  Some of those proceeds helped my acquire my #2 and 3 in 9.0.  Miss staying in touch with everyone but work and my first 2 grandkids in the past year keep me pretty busy which is a good thing...especially my grandson and granddaughter!
