Does anyone know if this was a modern reprinting or if it occurred immediately after the first printing. Anyone know how to tell the second printing from the first? Interesting. Jeff, I found this info on mycomicshop.com: Avengers (1963-1996 1st Series) 2nd Printing #88 Marvel: 1994 Original cover price: $0.15 More information... This is the 2nd printing. The 2nd printing has a stridex ad on the back cover. I was looking through a friends duplicates recently to buy and spotted a beautiful copy of the book. cheetah Posted April 9, 2010 Share Posted April 9, 2010 I don't think I have either of them but I'd have to do some digging in my raw boxes to find out for sure. That is a daunting task! I think there are somewhere between 17 and 20 reprints and/or variants that aren't in the full variant registry set yet. I'm going to send in some raw copies of some of them for grading. Not too focused on mini-series. Right now, I'm looking for any of these second prints in 9.8 condition. I don't mind paying a reasonable finder's fee for them.
