Overstreet can be wrong I seen plenty of changes and corrections in it since 1980 when I first started buying it. In the book he is clearly Col Nick Fury a spy. He just happens to work for the CIA at the time.ST 135 is just the first appearance of SHIELD. He is only sgt Fury on the cover of FF 21 and thats only because Marvel probably wanted to cross promote Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos and so peole knew who he was..

I was really surprised at the census numbers for this issue.

The numbers do not lie: only 5 issues in 9.0 and higher. The real bear of the ST run!! :sumo:

The colors on that cover are very unique and VERY COOL! :headbang:

As Rich and I and many others well know, for many of these books 8.5 - 9.2 are like 9.6s for other books...same thing applies to many JIMs both pre-#83 and several of the JIM/THORs in the 80s/90s 9.2 represents the highest graded...

Noticed that Sully's ST 110 in 9.4 went for $17500 today. Is that a record

price for any Strange Tales issue ever?

 

went for $10,500 last May 2007 (per GPA) so guess it should be a record.
