it's so funny the things that'll follow you essentially forever; i still recall being so charmed by the olive green caption on the 125 as a kid, and it still catches my eye every time i see it now, almost 60 years later.

I had a British annual that I read to death as a kid that reprinted a Batman story with all the color's wrong.

Years later when I eventually got the real comic I hated it as the colors just didn't seem right, color plays such a big part in memory I think, I can feel nostalgic just thinking about that book now

When I came back in to the hobby, just before turning 20, I got introduced to early Marvel Silver Age. When I saw comics with what I usually refer to as "mint green" backgrounds on covers, it always really stood out to me. They mostly got away from that later in the 60s, but the early super hero Silver is full of those "mint green" covers! In particular, THIS run has quite a few of them! For example:

And this one, with its slightly darker variation, but still similar enough to count to me. Btw, it was a logo stripped copy of this issue and a coverless copy of ST annual #2 that were my first vintage Strange Tales issues.

Yeah, unfortunately I have a few old books with their own unique scent too
