Socratic Wonder
Showcase 4 in a hearbeat! That Adv 72 went for way too much in that auction. I was shocked two people actually bid it up that high considering there is a 9.2 on Clink for 13,800! Silver Surfer
Not sure why those Starman/Hourman Adventure issues are so expensive, generaly speaking. I think the presence of all those ultra high grade Church copies has over inflated the value of the lower grade copies.

EastCoastExchange-migratio
Let's match up some Silver and Gold---- because it's my thread, so I can do whatever I want Both sold within the past 18 months or so for approx. $17,000. Which one would you choose, and why Showcase 4 for me...that name is just too cool to pass up! Steve Neither. I hate both of them. JiveTurkeyMoFo
Without hesitation, the Tec # 31. Highest graded. Good page quality. Awesome cover. What's not to like? hold on cowboy! Highest graded doesnt mean BEST Existing. Theres at least one better copy (Dentist?) and maybe more unslabbed as of today. So jumping on this 8.0 for that reason would be premature. This Cowboy is sticking to his guns. Tec 31 please.

Plus the 31 is worth more $. Edited August 30, 2007 by CarolinaComix
Aman619
Im going with it too, but just not expecting its current status to hold up forever. But its probably going to be in the top 3 copes of a very tough book! Which is fine by me.

Silver Surfer
Very tough call as the Tec #31 is probably my favorite cover but a decent Tec #27 unrestored (chip doesn't bother me too much) is about hard to ignore. If the #31 was actually the best copy around I probably would take it but #27 is way too big of a key to pass up.
mr.schomburg
I remember the first time he posted those, my jaw dropped to the floor! Amazing enough, it just happened again! BZ, those books of yours are really quite stunning. Your collection is about as diverse and extensive as one can get. If you ever want help rebagging I will bring the Mylars, full back and white gloves.
