this is a toughie...........maybe that's why no one is opining..........structurally it looks well-maintained with just some minimal spine stress and that rough upper edge to contend with on the FC. the BC has the same rough upper edge and a bit more spine stress is visible due to the miswrap.

 

but the BC has an overall dirty look (general ink transfer?) that makes it look a bit unattractive. hard to say, but i'd guess in the 7.0 - 7.5 area due to the minimal structural defects,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

5.5-6.0 may not be able to encapsulate if there is overhang at the top

 

pretty nice copy of a HTF book though

 

I don't think chipping would affect your grade, especially if the chipping origin was production flaw and not wear and tear so to speak...

 

Also has the book been trimmed on the right?
