3.5/4.0 leaning 3.5

Super big scans make things look worse than they are. gossip.gif

i was thinking around a 4.0, but the little chunk out of the BC and the BC tear bring it down to a 3.0 - 3.5 in my mind............................ 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

I hate to be a party pooper but in all probability CGC would grade this no higher than 2.5. Personally, I could go as high as 3.0, but that left edge is heavily creased.

3.5

by the way... by what standard does one grade on this forum?

one's own, Overstreets, what one thinks CGC would do...

or some amalgamation thereof?

I usually give my grade, which conforms closely, but not slavishly, with Overstreet's guidelines. Seeing that these are the CGC boards, I sometimes hazard a guess as to how they might treat a book's defects. Probably absurd, given that I'm looking at a scan and trying to guess how a third party might grade it, but as stated in the forum sub-heading, it's interesting not reliable.
