Just back from Dallas and the convention went very well!

Met some boardies, sold many comics, and finally picked up two books from Mr. Verzyl...

OK, I already posted these, but here they are again post-CGC:

Bought as a VG- (with no mention of resto) :pullhair:

Bought as a VG/F (thumbs u This my new favorite book :cloud9:

Bought as a VG- meh

Due to their rarity, I'm just glad to have any copy. In defense of the seller, they told me to send the restored book back for them to examine & they would buy it back or give me a credit for the difference.

Bummer on the grading/resto discrepancy :(

Great books though and I love the #38 (thumbs u

1 out of 3 ain't....er....actually that is pretty bad. Not like those are $10 bronze books either. I would be a little less than happy.

All great covers, especially the 38! :applause:

Is there a hidden defect on the 39? That is a nice looking 2.0.

Also, what is the resto on the 35, just out of curiosity?

Jeff

#39: The label actually says "cover detached". Before I sent it in, I saw that the spine was loose, but it wasn't completely detached. I guess I should be happy they didn't give it a Qualified grade.

#35: The resto notes are "spine splits sealed". I didn't notice them, so I think there's a couple small ones, as opposed to one big seal.

Again, I'm totally happy with all three books. Even if resto was disclosed on #35, I'd still have bought it. (I can't remember seeing another copy for sale.) It's all good! (thumbs u
