Though the facial expressions of terror are what make the pulp cover better than the comic for me! Prehaps if Baily had the woman awake with a frightened look on her face, it would shock me more. The artist of that illustration is Julian S. Krupa. He was also the illustrator of an oversized coloring book (10½ x15") which was titled "Planes of Tomorrow."
