Until I get a reply from Alex concerning what I have offered in PM from the last time I offered to sort this out, I will not even consider this a matter. As once he does reply to me concerning it, it will be resolved.

There has been plenty of history concerning this page between Alex and I, with all good intentions on both sides.

 

But for those that are concerned about this and believe me I am a full backer on the probation list and what it stands for, here is the last PM reply:

Let me know the price on the Mahnke page and I will refund it. As far as the Stumptown book, do you remember the price on the sketchbook? I can ship it whenever you like, just pay for the book and shipping or I can minus it from the art price. If I find the page that Doug has (he has to have it) I can just mail it out to you for free. Not much more I can do right now with the art not being here and being at Doug's studio amongst thousands of pages.

If you need to put me on the probation list, I totally understand on the art side, I think it has been long enough, but I am out of options on getting it to you and I apologize for that

Well, since you are taking it here. I cannot prove that I paid you for this book. The paypal amount in question that I sent you (that I thought was for this book) was most likely for another deal we had. I cannot remember, or prove, that I physically gave you money for this when you were up here in Toronto a year and a half ago. Therefore, I cannot in good conscience ask for any money from you for the art. You are on here because you did not find the art over the 2 year period I gave you. During this time, you said you would make this up to me, and I believed you, which is why you weren't on sooner. Whether it was lost, or sold to someone else, failure to sell someone an item is enough to get you on the probation list.

 

As for the Stumptown book I tried to purchase 5 months ago from you. I have been waiting to pay for that for a while, but as your last PM states, you wanted me to find out the price for you for something you sold. How badly do you want to sell this if you are making your customers go back 5 months worth of threads to find the price? I am still willing to pay for it, but you can give it to charity as I am no longer interested in receiving it.

 

I am sorry that it has gotten to this point.

Did you pay for the art? You are stating in the above you are not even sure you paid for it and would feel bad getting a refund for something you did not pay for?

 

I have tried Alex and to be honest, it has been nothing but sour grapes when you were not included in the SSD situation where you named me an elitist. I had 3 people call me when you posted this and all 3 told me you were upset over not being included in the Sam Kieth signing. Whether that is true or not, I find you not being able to accept a refund odd and to keep banging on a book that you have not paid for, for 5 months odd also. I have always remained that we are friends and if we want to pull out every PM where I have offered a solution let me know. I haven't looked but I would bet I have tried.

 

You are throwing me under the bus with some pretty odd circumstances. I defend my position again by stating that I would be happy to refund (now in question) and would of course send you the art when I was up at the studio again (which I have looked for before).

 

Please make sure not to stop by and chat with me at the next Toronto show, in fact, I wouldn't be suprised if we just take Toronto off the list.

And BTW Paypal keeps an electronic history of every transaction. All you have to do is a search, either by amount or seller ID (e-mail)

That's what I'm trying to figure out.

 

My recommendation is just stick to the transaction(s) in question, and drop the Kieth event. There's enough bad feelings surrounding that situation that will only cloud getting this sorted out.
