Underground Comix

S Clay Wilson went for a lot compared to just last year.

Robert Williams Snatch went for a lot.

The original art for a Griffin poster was sold for under 6K just last week and now a one pager from Zap 2 goes for 30K.

Seems to be a trend with the late 60's to early 70's underground art with the Hup cover being an anomaly going for 50k+ with a significant amount of whiteout.

This might have something to do with the weak dollar.

Might be the time to unload underground art from that time frame.

I just took at look at the exchange rate between the US dollar and Euro from what it was just 1 year ago. The US dollar has lost 17.5% of its value in just the last year. This means that European collectors have gained 17.5% more buying power. One way to look at it is that if they waited the year to purchase a piece they would have saved 17.5%.
