  1. OK here's one! From whose grasp have I plucked this damsel in distress?
  2. Well, you gave it away by providing the set up. Pretty crazy story Give me a minute and I'll think of a decent(ish) question... EDIT: My score = 3
  3. So... when the greedy partner turns up to claim the prize, Carl exacts his revenge? That's the most unlikely revenge scheme I've ever heard (if that's it!)
  4. Gold Key Star Trek #1? Nah, but it almost looks like it would fit
  5. Note to self: Next year, save some money for AFTER xmas. Bargains to be had! On a completely different tangent, do any UK sellers do much business here? I was thinking of throwing down a few bits and bobs, but imagine that my stuff would only be of interest to UK buyers since it wouldn't be big $$$s and hardly worth international shipping. Just wondering if there's many UK customers here?
  6. Hmm, slightly confusing but... Neil Gaiman?
  7. I keep thinking Jetsons, but to no avail.
  8. That is the best idea! And what a stunning comic too My baby is due 2nd Feb. I now realise I need something like this too! I love the fact that the dedication gets noted on the label
  9. Hollis Mason And if you knew that, you know the title was 'Under the Hood' (thumbs u Take it away!
  10. My score = 2 ! New question: Whose (fictional) autobiography begins with the following line, and what is its title?: "The lady who works in the grocery store at the corner of my block is called Denise, and she's one of America's great unpublished novelists."
  11. Was it Tommy Trippit? EDIT: Bet this cover is hard to find in HG!
  12. Deprived kids love those Schomburg war covers! A thing like that could really make their day. Good for you!
  13. Nothing wrong with tough! But I gotta go to bed. Will have to check back to find out what that's from. I've been browsing Weird War Tales in case it was that, and now feel the urge to collect that title! Very cool
  14. aren't there rules to this contest? No leprechauns?
  15. I'll have another of those 'wild guesses'... Paragon! EDIT: double sniped!
  16. Score 1 for me Picture round Title and issue number?:
  17. I'll have a wild stab in the dark: DC Special #4 1st App House of Mystery #175 EDIT: Make that House of Secrets #81, not HoM 175. Clearly, I don't really know what I'm talking about Man you beat me on that one! But I am still unsure of the first appearance of Cain and Abel in their own story. (Gotta love selegue's "is there another Cain?" - no wonder they're called marvel Zombies!) Yep, I don't about the second part of the question either. HoS#81 is pretty much a guess (and probably wrong!) so this question is still wide open I reckon!
  18. I'll have a wild stab in the dark: DC Special #4 1st App House of Mystery #175 EDIT: Make that House of Secrets #81, not HoM 175. Clearly, I don't really know what I'm talking about
  19. I just picked this up courtesy of Grails' game: I, too, am working on an ASM run! 1-100 is my goal. I only have about 20 issues so far, mostly between 50-70, but I did say LONG TERM! This 17 makes a nice semi-key addition
