  1. Weeeelll... OK, so am picking up Hellblazer, and I've asked for the Invincible trades for xmas (sounds like a fun read), so the slippery slope is beckoning..
  2. Mine is exactly the same apart from some minor adjustments: Really, amazingly similar story!
  3. Nice! I need one of those, but probably not in that high a grade!
  4. GASP!!!! Is that a Spawn trading card sealed inside?? The card appears to have some kind of holochromaticfoil attached also! Quite a collector's item
  5. Today is a good day for... early Spideys! Got this lot in the post today, thanks to both Donut and Comiclink. As you can see, I'm not fussy about grade (although the #7 is pretty sweet): Also received last week a nice little gap filling run from Cap Freak: I've never read any of these issues before
  6. I finally picked myself up a nice #100 a few weeks ago from comicwiz: I agree it's a cool cover. One that I'd been looking for a nice (yet affordable) example for several months. My personal favourite cover is #59, for some unknown reason. So far I've only got reading copies of that one. One day I'd like a nice 9.0++
  7. That has to be the sexiest Spider-Man cover of the entire run. There I said it
  8. Check this out: ebay prog 1 listing DO NOT BUY. That is NOT the original space spinner. It looks nothing like it in fact. What a rip off. I often see tatty old prog 1's with fake space spinners included. Adding the space spinner takes the price of a VG/F from £50 to £250 so it's not hard to see why.
  9. The dark judges arcs were awesome! Especially the art. A Bolland Judge Death OA would be one of my ultimate grails.
  10. THE first appearance! Now THAT'S a wrap! It's all there: Faster than a locomotive, leaping buildings in a single bound... But wait, a 'bursting shell' can penetrate his skin huh?
  11. Yes but you need to read 31 and 32 first... Hook me up
  12. Been spoiling myself this week. First that big batch yesterday, then today arrived an ebay purchase. I took a chance on a small photo that looked like it could be FN, and here it is, my first copy of #33: I'm very happy with that for a raw ebay purchase! If not for that big chip out of the corner I'd be thinking 8.5. Very nice. And now I can find out what's so great about this issue. Everyone round here says it's a top story yes?
  13. This lot just arrived from DKB. These fill a lot of gaps in my ASM run. Most of them hovering around the 7.0 mark, they look great
  14. Thanks to DKB for the swift supply of quality goods! This lot made it across the atlantic one week after I posted the Cheers DKB!
  15. A fun cover from prog 23. Very early Brian Bolland work
  16. A recent pickup of an early 2000AD page from the Blackhawk story in #132. Not a very notable page, nor is it a story that I ever much cared for, but it was relatively cheap for an early example and I thought what the hey
  17. Pretty nice and white, for an old 2000AD! Man, I must've read my Titan reprint book of Cursed Earth at least a hundred times. Seared into my brain
  18. Great book! Bit of a grail for me. I hope to pick up an affordable 'good' copy one of these days, not as nice as yours.
  19. Nice run Arrgh! I'm working on those too. Still missing a handful of BWS issues.
  20. So come on, who won the Weird Tales with the first published Conan story on the last Comiclink auction ? I was beat by $40 Meanwhile, picked up a pile of pence copies for a tenner. They'll make perfect reading copies
