So was it just a way to get 5 different books out at the same time? Why?

What is the deal with Detective Comics (New 52) 23 and the four 23.1, .2, .3, .4 issues? Just a sales gimmick? They don’t seem to add to the legacy numbering.

In the late 90s I emailed Tom Tomorrow and he responded with a very personal and thankful response. Back then you could do that sort of thing because the internet wax much smaller and more intimate.

Punisher limited series 1-5 newsstand. Advertised as NM, not sure about that but condition looks pretty good. I never read Punisher as a kid except stuff he was a guest in, but I ALWAYS wanted this series. He’s become one of my favorites as an adult.

I don’t have the full run so I don’t know how he changed back, but a few issues later he’s back to normal.

Punisher gets messed up by Kingpins guys, who slice his face up. He finds a plastic surgeon to fix him up and make him unrecognizable. This is the confusing outcome.

I have been rewatching the show while I work out, and I like it 10x as much as I did in first run. It probably helps that the super slow parts aren’t as painful when watches back to back instead of a week or a few months apart. The same problems that made me stop watching are still there (plot armor, normally competent characters becoming deaf and blind in order to get attacked, teleporting zombies, poor resource management, and so on). I stopped watching last time when the gang had Negan in their sights but instead shot out a bunch of windows, but I’ll power through this time.

Is it just me, or is anyone else not seeing Spawn ANYWHERE? Never at half price books despite being one of the hottest books of the 90s. Never at any of the LCSs I go to occasionally, even at marked up prices.

Bum finds a baby in a garbage can and loses him to some street thugs. DD returns him no questions asked. Kind of funny but also sad.

Why don’t they bring back John Krasinski? He seemed to be good in his one appearance in DS2.

I don’t mind if they’re clearly labeled. I have been buying All-Star Batman back issues from Cheap buns and have not been sure if what I’m picking up is part of the same series. To be fair there are a million Batman series so getting them mixed up probably happens more frequently than in others.

Thoughts on Punisher 2099? I picked up about half the run at 25 cents each the other day but other than issue #1 I bought at release I’ve never read the series. also I got Punisher meets Archie for $6. It was a very funny read.

There’s no way I can keep getting this lucky. Huge runs of modern Batman and Punisher at a dollar or less each just sitting there. That’s half of the All-Star Batman run for $3.50. I broke my $1 or less rule with the Image Firsts Walking Dead. I figure it’s worth at least that much so no harm.

I have seen some reprints are sought after but I have not seen a comprehensive moderns list. Thanks!

Great HPB haul. I know nothing about the newer Batman books, but at .50 cents each they were worth the risk.

Of course, but we’ve seen those movies can be good. We have not seen that from FF4.
