  1. They’ve proven competent with X-Men movies in the past so I don’t have a lot of worry there. Their FF4 movies have been dog spoon so I don’t have the same warm feelings about it.
  2. If they never had a relationship with him and have no personal interest in the collection other than maximizing profit, then I can’t blame them. Are they supposed to sit on this collection for another 50 years?
  3. Yea it probably would! I was confused about the key collector pricing though which was wrong. Maybe I can get a No Prize for have it updated!
  4. Interesting, good for me I guess. Thanks! it turns out this is the rarest print and actually worth some dough.
  5. Mine is most definitely red. The 9th print is red with a 4.95 price, but my front text seems to be brighter. Doesn’t look orange or pink, and no other colors are even close that I’ve seen listed. I’m not saying it’s valuable or anything, I’m just curious because this type of thing is usually well documented. and I’m not seeing any 3.95 cover prices on your link or on key collector - only on my copy.
  6. It could be, though it conflicts with Key Colldctor which says 6th print is orange. Not sure which source is correct.
  7. This is my copy, bought in the early 90s. The front text is red and the back price is 3.95. I haven’t been able to find this combo anywhere. Thanks!
  8. Around 2000 I walked into my LCS and sold off about a short box of my best stuff for $100. I know the following books were in there: Spawn 1-50, ASM 361 and many other ASMs from about 1992 to 1994/5, Wolverine 1 (not limited series), Spidey 1-20s or 30s, PPSM 1, key X-Men’s from that period, and some other good stuff that I got completely robbed on. I knew my mistake as soon as I walked out the door.
  9. Love Tim Bradstreet. He was the best artist in the early days of Shadowrun.
  10. I’ve picked up 7-8 issues of the first series from dollar bins and am really enjoying this book. I don’t know how I missed it in the 90s because it is right up my alley — maybe not enough chromium? I have two questions for you faithful readers: do we ever actually get shown Darkhawk’s face? Is the curse of Darkhawk ever explained in book? The issues I’ve found are all before the 30s so these may be addressed later.
  11. Being a cop in Metropolis has to be the easiest job ever. Action Comics 507 edit: whoops didn’t notice this was the GA forum.
  12. Any recommendation on specific boxes that can hold oversized books?
  13. Thought I’d share my original Tick run while rebagging in Golden Age bags/boards. Issue 2 is 2nd print. 8 is the no-logo variant. I bought probably all of these from the back issues bin in the early 90s and they were well read. obviously I bought the #1 special edition later but I don’t recall when - I know my friend had issue 1 (not a first print) so I’d borrow his to read. I’ve never seen another copy if that TTTT with the Tick story.
  14. This one looks dangerous for the person operating the cutter too!
  15. I collect baseball cards and the only way I’m ever going to get some pricier vintage cards is by checking and getting lucky with underpriced BINs. It does happen, just need to be patient.
  16. This should be noted as 1st Arthur and 1st Paul the Samurai. At least for Arthur as he’s one of the main characters.
  17. How are “classic covers” decided, and how is AC1 not in the list? It has to be the most well known and lampooned cover ever.
  18. Another Half Price Books score. we have two stores in my area. One never has anything in the lock boxes, but the other clearly has someone who knows comics since they have a good idea of key comics - but the prices are WAY high.
  19. Nice Half Price Books find, $1 each, $2 for the Spideys. First books I’ve bought since the early 90s. Love the team up covers, and I can’t wait to see how Sarge gets out of this one! Feb 11: took about a week to get to these. Dark hawk was a really fun read! The two Spidey books were really rough. I don’t remember 90s Spidey being boring but these may have been during bad runs.
  20. Alien vs Predator was the biggest let down until The Last Jedi, which ruined my opinion of Luke, Leia and Chewbacca who were childhood heros. Just garbage.
  21. I though it was ok but it probably should have been more serious given the stakes in the story.
  22. I absolutely loved this show. I found it hilarious and well acted, with interesting (and different) stories. I like the funnier Marvel stuff like Ant Man more than the serious main stories, so I guess this was for me. I think this is the best Marvel Disney show by far and hope they bring it back.
  23. In the early 90s they had no hype in my area. Everyone focused on X-Men and Spidey. Was there a specific storyline that caused their fall, or am I not remembering correctly?
