  1. Agreed...sweet book! I third that. Thanks Joey. Have a great day. CC Yikes! I shudder to think what Harley musta charged for colors that deep and gorgeous...
  2. And a couple of somewhat less patriotic pick-ups...
  3. I'll keep the Cap theme going... this one just escaped its plastic prison, so it's also up for condition conjectures over in the "Buddy, Can You Spare a Grade?" forum... *This is the especially rare 2-cent variant...
  4. Awesome books, 'Killer! Love the Adventure 291, 'Tec 299 and Superboy 18 in particular!
  5. Heh - I did blow a sizable wad of cash, alright...! I managed to stay more or less within my budget somehow... Here are a few stragglers... The Nick Fury 1 is even sweeter in person
  6. Thanks, guys Here are a few more, for the Golden/Atom Age fans
  7. Here are a few purchased recently via eBay... I'm very happy with the duck books... the colors are beauteous
  8. Posted lousy scans of these to the 'new to your collection' thread a couple days ago...knew I'd better improve on those scans before humbly submitting for perusal among the GA faithful
  9. And a couple of psychedelic gems not purchased from House o' Comics...picked up cheap on eBay... I find it very tough to get this title in grade...
  10. Here are a few random pickups obtained from House of Comics this weekend...
  11. Ar ar ar... only trimming in my house is on the xmas tree, ya palooka! I've had several people tell me that two of the books could be improved via pressing, including a board member whose judgment I trust implicitly. But I'd never do that to a comic book. Never. They're plenty pretty enough to me as-is!
  12. Interesting... So attachments are now displayed automatically when they're images? Gack - see the scanner cropped the right side 'cause I removed the backing board prior to scanning... well, suffice to say the right edges are sharp in each case, and I'm very happy with these acquisitions!
  13. I've not tried posting a scan in forever...let's see if I can figger this out
  14. Okay, changing the subject a bit, and perhaps pushing my luck a bit... any Gasoline Alley originals, especially Sundays? Some of those Sundays are absolutely surreal, but I don't think I've ever seen them pre-coloring...
  15. Great 'Tecs and a very pretty Bats 20, BZ... Those are some gorgeous Joker issues!
  16. Gabriel Brown. There's a performer you don't don't see mentioned very often. He had a unique sound. Good buy. Yeah, but ol' Gabe's success took a real downturn when his guitar launched a solo career...
  17. BZ: is the flipside of that Sheridan/Beatles 45 "The Saints (When the Saints Go Marching In)" ? Did MGM press a later version of this disc, maybe only for N. America? And equally importantly, have you read the recent Beatles biography by Bob Spitz? Fascinating level of detail... Ringo doesn't show up 'til about page 350
  18. Yeah - like fireworks! On the other hand, I'm not sure there is an 'end of the show' coming... by the time BZ runs outta stuff to scan and post, he could just start over at the beginning, and our children (who by then will have inherited our accounts) will never know the difference...
  19. My money is on square eggs from a place called Plain Awful...
  20. Here's my humble contribution to the thread... only TTA I've got a scan handy for, and the other 60-odd issues of the title are spread across 45 boxes...
