  1. Upon further reflection, CGC should change G/E/I to mean Gonna/Eventually/Imerge'.
  2. As one can imagine, CGC has received a great number of submissions, its intake process has slowed, both, or something (edit) else, I can think of a few things, has occurred.
  3. I do not. A 25 Modern Comic Book submission that is still in the CGC submission void.
  4. For many submissions CGC's posted turnaround times are a myth wrapped in a fantasy concealed in a bed time story.
  5. Interesting, the two magazines are still G/E/I but upon accessing the submission CGC has listed the wrong magazines. Specifically, they have listed for my submission two copies of France Creepy 1 3/69 Warren Publishing French Edition. I have to telephone CGC and will likely be informed that, in fact, I did submit French language magazines. Edit: For posterity!
  6. I have been on the NYC subway with very strange individuals. However, they have all been quite "normal" compared to some folks I met in OK and LA. Of course, all those individuals in NYC, OK, and LA very likely thought I was a weirdo and a half.
  7. I have not submitted an "expensive" comic book for grading in a few years and was planning to do either this month or in August. However, I will have to think further about submitting them. If I decide to do so, as I have done in the past with billing issues, if there are any problems with my submissions CGC can be certain that I will follow-up with them endlessly until the matter is resolved to my satisfaction since I will have fully met my "obligation" to CGC and I expect likewise from the company.
  8. I'll note that for new comic books I use Hot Flips Backing Boards (Silver/Reg Age) with Silver Age Comic Book Bags and find them of excellent quality and perfect for my need.
  9. Like lizards2, I have stacked my CGC graded comic boxes very high and after checking the slabs every couple of years, obviously I have nothing better to do, all the slabs are as I received them from CGC or otherwise.
  10. As concerns the new E. Gerber 35 mil thick Full-Backs, I'll note that I have many comic books stored with Half-Backs (24 mil) in Archives (4 mil) as well as BCE Thin-X-Tenders (24 mil) in Comic Gards (4 mil) (If I correctly recall, Comic Gards previously had another name circa 1980s and, I imagine, later) and have never experienced any "warping" of comic books. These comic books are stored in acid-free boxes, E. Gerber and BCE, and are packed just tight enough as are all my comic book boxes, acid-free and regular long and short boxes, that no comic books sags. I also place acid-free boards at each end of every acid-free box and thick regular boards in the regular boxes. Simply stated, all the comic books in a box support each other. Granted, all this may be overkill but it has worked for me since at least 1980. Lastly, I'll note that I have had some of these comic books graded and CGC has graded all of them 9.8 with white pages. Of course, there are probably some 9.6 and, shudder , 9.4 among them.
  11. Indeed. Every EG full-back that I have purchased, for decades (edit), has that curve. In fact, the approximately 8000 of them still packaged, I purchased in vast quantities from the mid-1990s to about 2015 with a few smaller purchases until about 2019, have that curve (the packages have always had that curve, never laying perfectly (edit) flat other than perhaps when supporting the weight of many other such packages). The same is true in my experience of BCE X-Tenders.
  12. This entire issue appears to, unfortunately, be on the road to an Epic fail.
  13. Soon, we will be receiving comic books that CGC forgot to slab, simply placed it in a box and off it went. I joke ... ... ... hopefully.
  14. Two magazines Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging, Thursday, June 29
  15. Yes! I have been signed-out inside and out, upside down, left and right side, backward, forward, in reverse ... Okay, I'll stop now.
  16. Perhaps, as the HC excuse notes, no $ from HC to CGC to pay for services rendered. Granted, this may have been occurring for a period of time and, perhaps, a $ threshold was reached. Of course, as generally with any business, outside of those involved in illegal activities that will certainly likely collect one way or another, if you are not being paid for your services, preferably as established, you better quickly address that or you may very soon be a former business. Edit: As Wombat notes.
  17. Other board members may have more precise information to provide since I have never had CCS press a comic book and, thus, not had to submit an ME to them but, having written that, you should likely contact CGC/CCS concerning this matter and/or Mike, the CGC representative on the boards, as he may be able to assist you.
  18. CGC is in zombie land with my submissions: my May two magazine sub is still at SfG and the 25 comic book sub has not yet been opened. Perhaps this year I will have the second most orders I have ever had waiting for some action. Clearly, I expect faster service than CGC can provide.
  19. Yes, the previous boxes were quite good. I also still have all the ones I received and the comic books that arrived in them. But who cares about those comic books when I have the boxes.
