  2. "They give you this, but you pay for that · And once you're gone you can never come back."
  3. In approximately 1986 I purchased a collection of A S-M that at that time were readers, some still are, numbering issues 85 to 158. Several of them, and I knew it prior to purchase, had "color touch" of the blue and/or black ink ball point pen variety. It was and still is funny in that the original owner, whom I purchased from, informed me that he had "color touched" them to make them look better for sale. I love that! He was not a comic book collector and, I will add, a good person despite his comic book () desecration.
  4. Thankfully, I only "purchase" Newton Rings and they are a bonus.
  5. I have all of my purchased off the newsstand SWC issues. I very much enjoyed reading them and have looked to purchase them in collected editions to reread but unfortunately I have never found them at prices I'm willing to pay.
  6. The grade(s) are listed when the comic book(s) are "Shipped."
  7. I had a few Marvel Subscriptions (A S-M, Avengers, etc.) in the 1970s (circa 1971 to 1975). I still own every issue and, of course, very few reached me unfolded and I read them to heck and beyond. They may be nowhere near mint, but if one can love comic books, I love those because I paid for the subscriptions with the allowance my parents gave me. That connection alone makes them priceless to me.

  10. If one closes their eyes when looking at a CGC slab, it looks great.
  11. "... WHICH THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO DO!" and its progenitor is a board classic.
  12. They look like they were assembled using too much Testors Plastic Cement.
  13. As you may know, there are at least two companies that "grade" slabbed comic books. So, why not?
  14. Very nice: X-men ----- Continues to be Uncanny!.
