Once this is done you will need to submit the book for a Reholder service and request the label be updated by writing it on the packing slip. Thank you.

  7. Hello, it does look like there may be missing comments on the label regarding the first appearances in this book. We have a 14-day window to submit a book after it was received for a complimentary reholder service. If this qualifies, you may do this by submitting a new submission form and selecting Mechanical Error instead of Grading.Then follow the prompts to retrieve your pre-paid shipping label.
  8. Hello, we can still grade this book but it will not receive the Yellow Signature Series label. If the signing is not witnessed by an authorized CGC witness and directly submitted for grading, then the signature cannot be authenticated for Signature Series. Testimonials, photographs, video recordings, certificates of authenticity, or any other proof of signing are not accepted. Any items that have already been signed would not qualify for the Signature Series label. In most cases, they would receive a green Qualified label (attached). This allows the graders to ignore the signature for grading purposes and the book is not downgraded for the writing. Label Description | CGC (cgccomics.com) At or below a 6.0 the writing/signature on the cover no longer has a significant impact on the grade and our graders may feel it is not necessary to qualify the grade. They will factor the signature into grade and the book would receive a Universal (blue) label with the same notation of “name on cover in marker”. Please do not send in COAs. Retain them for your records as they are not needed for grading and may not be returned to you. More information on our Signature Series Program can be found on CGC Signature Series. Thank you!
  9. Hello, when books are reholdered they receive the same certification number as previously. The only way to receive a new certification number is to regrade the book.

  12. Hello, in order to have the book pressed and regraded you will need to submit the book as a new submission. You will select grading and pressing as the services. Once you get to the Add Comics section, you will get the option to select the "Resubmitting" box. This will allow you to enter the certification number of the previous holder and ensure the yellow label is transferred to the new holder.

  17. Hello! This is an excellent question. Yes, you would still need to get a CGC witness or facilitator in order to qualify for the yellow signature series label unless otherwise stated. We do partner with SWAU on certain private signing events; however, we always have a CGC witness present during these signing events. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

  21. Hello! I don't believe you have done anything wrong on your end. This sounds like it may be a glitch with our online submission form. You may either try again at a later date or proceed and it will be processed according to the posted fees online for the event.
