  3. Grading fees align to the age of the book defined as Modern (1975 to present) and Economy (pre-1975) and the service tier selection. All of our grading fees as well as the current turnaround time for each submission tier are available on our website at CGC Services & Fees | CGC (cgccomics.com). Submitting your comics, trading cards, magazines, and concert posters to CGC is easy.  Just follow the steps outlined on our website to sign up for membership and start submitting on How to Submit | CGC (cgccomics.com). If you do not wish to sign up for membership, you can also submit through an authorized CGC dealer to submit items on your behalf.  A listing of authorized CGC dealers is available on our website at Dealer Listing | CGC (cgccomics.com).

  5. Hello, the "received date" now seems to update anytime we update a step in the submission process, so it does not truly reflect the actual received date, rather the last status update.

  7. Hello! We are so sorry to hear that your book came back with a lower grade than you were hoping for. Do you have any photos of the book before you sent it in to us? If so, please email them with the certification number to our customer service team so they can start and a claim ticket for you. You may reach them at submissions@cgccomics.com. Grader's notes are made at the Graders discretion and are available when created on all tiers of books, including modern. Modern books tend to have less notes created then Economy books, but they do still receive free notes.

  9. Hello! Yes, they will be returned separately at this time as they are different submission forms. This being said, you may request that they be shipped together on the packing slips since they are in the same signing event; however, there is no guarantee that they will honor this request as it is decided on a case-by-case basis.   11. Hello! Thanks for reaching out. We like to give an average timeframe of 10-20 days for normal intake processes, and this is being generous in case we get extra busy. I would say that you have plenty of time to be received before the signing event!

  13. Hello again! From the Graders: The affect of Distribution markings/writing on a book is determined by size and location. A high-grade book with small and/or unobtrusive markings can still achieve a grade of 9.6-9.8. As the markings grow larger and/or more obtrusive there may be a slight downgrade for such, but generally not too significant. Concerning the free gifts: If the gift is a flat paper or cardboard item, like stickers, masks, boomerangs, etc. it will be encapsulated with the book (placed inside the book). For these items, the book will generally be graded Qualified incomplete if the gift is not included with the submission. For the plastic figures or toys attached to the covers, unfortunately due to the design of our holders we are unable to encapsulate items with the gifts still attached. However, when grading a book where the gift has been removed, we will not Qualify the book as incomplete, but we will note in the key comments that the book was originally "distributed with free gift (not included.)"

  18. Hello, this option is allowed if requested before the package is shipped or when the books are submitted. Once the package has been shipped, we cannot make any changes due to the nature of the collectibles. If the package cannot be delivered, then it will be returned to our facility, and we will contact you to reschedule the delivery. Thank you for understanding.
  19. Thank you for contacting us. The online form is unable to display available grading credits. The membership credit is valid for 1-year from the date of purchase and will automatically apply to any regular CGC fees. You will receive your invoice number(s) when your order has been processed at the CGC office. No charges will be processed until your order is received in our facility. Any available member credits will be applied automatically prior to processing the charge.
  20. Thank you for contacting us. Signings by multiple artists for the same book are typically only possible when those artists are doing a multi-signing at the same time. We cannot hold a book or submit it for another signing. Getting one book signed by multiple artists that are not signing together requires the book to be resubmitted after completion by each talent and a new submission form issued for the next. However, there may not be adequate time in between signings for this to be possible.

  25. Hello! If the signing is not witnessed by an authorized CGC witness and directly submitted for grading, then the signature cannot be authenticated for Signature Series. Testimonials, photographs, video recordings, certificates of authenticity, or any other proof of signing are not accepted. Any items that have already been signed would not qualify for the Signature Series label. In most cases, they would receive a green Qualified label (attached).
