  1. Hello, CGC will not downgrade a book below 9.8 for the label being removed from the digital code, BUT it will always be noted on the CGC label itself that it has been removed. The notation will state "Digital code label removed." or "Manufactured without peel apart sticker for digital download."
  2. Hello, paid memberships are now required for submissions at conventions. There are occasional promotions for premium memberships that will be emailed to members. At this time there are no promotions for memberships; however.

  5. Hello, thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, we do not have a holder that can encapsulate treasure editions safely. Posters are not encapsulated in the same holder as comics. Because of this, they are not comparable.

  8. We are so sorry to hear about this mix up! You can complete a Mechanical Error submission form within 14 days of receiving the books for a complimentary Reholder service. You do this by processing a new submission form and selecting Mechanical Error instead of Grading when prompted. Follow the steps given on the form and it will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label.
  9. Hello, I wasn't able to find this in our system yet but that does not mean it has not mean it was not received in our warehouse. Our intake process is normally 7-10 business days but can be longer depending on the number of submissions that we are receiving at the time. I do not see the tracking number in our system and when I tried to track it online it did not come up either. Can you confirm which carrier was used so I can better assist you? Thank you!

If the signing is not witnessed by an authorized CGC witness and directly submitted for grading, then the signature cannot be authenticated for Signature Series. Testimonials, photographs, video recordings, certificates of authenticity, or any other proof of signing are not accepted. Any items that have already been signed would not qualify for the Signature Series label. In most cases, they would receive a green Qualified label. This allows the graders to ignore the signature for grading purposes and the book is not downgraded for the writing. Label Description | CGC (cgccomics.com) At or below a 6.0 the writing/signature on the cover no longer has a significant impact on the grade and our graders may feel it is not necessary to qualify the grade. They will factor the signature into grade and the book would receive a Universal (blue) label with the same notation of “name on cover in marker”. Please do not send in COAs. Retain them for your records as they are not needed for grading and may not be returned to you. More information on our Signature Series Program can be found on CGC Signature Series. Thank you!

At this time there is no set amount of time for Mechanical Error submissions to be finalized as it does depend on many factors as to when they will be completed. We do try to prioritize Mechanical Error submissions; however, they can take some time depending on what needs to be done and the number of submissions received before it. Submission 2775305 is being processed now and you should see this move forward soon. We apologize for any delays that you have experienced When adding a new service like custom labels, the system automatically separates them into a new submission. They are processed in a different location then the other submissions and need to be separated.

  21. Hello! You may create one submission form for both books by using the Add Another Service option; however, they will be shipped back to you separately and you will have two shipping fees. When submitting them to us, you may submit the books in one box with one packing slip. After entering the book/service that you need, you will find the Add Another Service option at the bottom of the page, this will allow you to select the next grading tier.
