They had staff pictures when I looked at the businesses site a couple of weeks ago.

I press my own books and I take a good look at it, sometimes I can't see anything to press out but that's not often maybe 5% of the time.

Does this look like he got pulled for a dui and got the other charges with his response to said dui? Or am I reading this wrong?

Oh I like this thread, I'll take pics and post tomorrow.

I'd feel sketchy leaving that up to movers. I know you said you didn't want to do it yourself but maybe try to find someone to do it with a cargo van or such? Anyway welcome to town I've lived in the Raleigh area my whole life, Unfortunately not alot of good comic shops around though.

Ok Ok after seeing all these pics I feel bad about my giftee having a box wrapped with kraft paper under the tree. But you see here's what happened I went to where I thought wrapping paper should be and found that. I was like well this is fine wrapping paper it will do. Now in my defense this is my first year in this I did alot of exchanges/swaps/tags in my coin days and those guys would love plain brown wrapping paper. Also I did write Merry Christmas on it so its a little festive.

How does cgc treat date stamps on the cover when grading?
-
Small vintage submission received 11/7 was in GEI for almost 2 weeks then went straight to shipped today 👍

Oh I don't know I've never considered that. It shouldn't make a difference but hard to say if it does or not, I can't see anything in my past submissions to make me think it matters. I've only ever tried to avoid sending in multiple copies of the same book.

The decade doesn't matter as long it's the same grading tier. Modern is 1975 and later with a value under $400.

I'd also pass

To me it looks in the 7.0 to 8.0 range. I thought $60 was ok I just didn't pull the trigger. I was just surprised seeing it end so high thought maybe I was missing something.

This was listed as an auction with a make offer option. I made an early offer the seller came back at $60 I passed mainly because I'm putting a submission together and don't really need to be spending anymore right now. Then I get the this item got away message and see this I'm like maybe I should have jumped on the $60.

Sounds like a handsome fellow

I seem to have a hard time paying much over $100 for a raw book

I've looked at alot of these and bid on some. I've found they get overpaid for quite often idk if it's people getting in bidding wars or what but I don't see the value sometimes. I have done ok with the few I've won gotten some decent minor keys and such I tend to dip out at around $50 or less.

Ok so I just read 141 and it was great, really brought back memories. I see the movie somewhat follows the storyline. I'll read 142 in a couple of days.

So I got back into this hobby in 2021 and truth be told I haven't actually read a book since probably the mid 90s. Now as a kid in the early 80s I read all my books probably multiple times, then in the mid 90s when I collected again I didn't think I read any just bought bagged and boarded but I knew some storylines so apparently I read a few. When I got back into this in 2021 I mostly was just surprised my books had value now and worked on grading and selling them. But along the way I got interested in buying books cleaning and pressing them myself to get graded. I don't think it's really about making money I just enjoy the challenge of the chase I guess. But anyway I just got some nicer copies of x-men 141 and 142 and these are books I had as a kid and I recall I loved the storyline its one of the ones that stuck with me over the years. So I believe before I start my whole prepping process I'm going to have to read these bad boys.
