Here is what I was told: We would not be able to encapsulate the book with the item attached, so a “grading curve” was created for the book that excludes the item, since every one we grade will not contain it. We do something similar for books that contain records. The record is removed and the comic graded as is.

I am sorry that this has happened to you, LordRahl and RMA. I am going to flag @MattM CS to this thread, as I do not know the extent of how many warped holders were used. I have been working with @LordRahl, and will continue doing so. Can you assist the others, Matt?

We expect to start accepting autographed trading card games (TCGs), sports cards and non-sports cards for combined JSA and CGC certification soon. An announcement will be made when these services are available.

@Samlarn72 I am sorry that this has happened to you. I see you have a thread in the ASK CGC section, and you have mentioned contacting customer service through e-mail. That would have been my guess at to where it was located. I am not sure when it was sold.

@LordRahl CGC identified a batch of inner wells that were warped and removed from production, but it appears that these got through. Please send the affected books back via Mechanical Error and they’ll be taken care of.

Yep. The time I remember being there, there was mostly new books. It would have been 8 to 10 years ago. and it was a younger guy that I asked about GA Actions. I left empty handed. Here's the foot of Church St. I can't remember which building.

Hi A ME stands for Mechanical Error. You would need to fill out a submission form like you did when you sent this book in. This time, you would select Mechanical Error. (Holder defect) When you finish the submission form, a prepaid shipping label will be sent to you through our website. (Not by e-mail). Be sure to write on the packing slip: This ME has been pre approved. ATTN: Matt Nelson and write the problem. (Make sure ATTN: Matt Nelson stands out). You would then include the packing slip with the book and ship it back to us using the prepaid shipping label. We will fix this at our expense and ship it back to you on our dime as well. When you have a tracking number you can send it to me by using the private message feature on this forum. (the envelope in the upper right of the screen). I will then send it to Matt so he can be on the lookout for your package. If you have any problems with this, you can send me a PM or post it in the thread. The ME option on the submission form expires in 14 days after you have received your submission back from us. If this happens, let me know and I can get you one. Mike

The database specialist can't say for sure but, he believes it will happen 1 week from today. So, we will address this in a week.

I have been told by our database specialist that "This has now been added." I believe the census updates on Wednesday for item shipped out on Friday. So, I am not sure if this will show up tomorrow or next week. I will find out. Then, I will see we can get this submitted as a ME under wrong label information, so there will be no out of pocket cost.
