  1. I should add that if I ever have to use this, I will most likely just put a ban on posting in the thread, and the user will be able to read it.
  2. Yep. Currently, there is 1 person banned from posting and viewing a topic, and that is me. Oops! You're banned from this topic. You can't read it.
  3. Hello Please add a return policy to your terms of sale. Thanks
  4. This thread isn't about the events that take place each year on the forum. (The Holiday Raffle, Gift exchange, DrX's annual contest ect...) It is also not about any one thread. It's about the same handful of people who go into someone's thread where a comic related topic is being discussed, and completely ruin the thread for the OP and other contributing posters. It also ruins it for the people that just lurk and read the threads to learn. I am the one who has to deal with all the complaints in the reports and PM's. This place is for everyone to enjoy, and I am not going to allow a few to ruin it for several others. I am also not going to step in every time there are some off topic postings. However, if it gets out of hand, I will make it stop.
  5. The only reason is by not doing so, it could cause a delay in the turn around time. If you have a WT or EX item, and it is not marked as such, your package will be open in the order received. The exception would be, boxes that are marked WT or EX will be opened immediately, resulting in a longer delay for your submission. I would have to check to be sure regarding this suggestion being removed when we are caught up.
  6. If it was just 1 thread, I would not have started this one. This is something that has been going on for quite a while, and it is getting worse.
  7. I am not opposed to having 1 thread in comics general to post whatever is allowed according to the terms of use. The only exception is, you can post off topic posts.
  8. I have noticed a group of people often going into threads and taking them off topic with nonsense postings. This is disrespectful to the original poster and those that have contributed to the thread in a proper way. There are bound to be off topic posts in threads. That is part of what keeps this place fun. However, when I see 60 to 100 posts, and only a few are on topic, this is not ok. At this point, the person's thread is ruined. There are many that don't want to scroll through the kind of stuff I am seeing. I have asked that a new tool be installed where I can ban people from a topic. In the future, if I see this kind of behavior, I will use that tool. If I see this moving to a different thread, I will use the point system to restrict the posting on the forum for those involved. I am not opposed to having one nonsense thread in comics general, where it is ok to post whatever you want. Other than that, this stops now, or I will make it stop. Here are 2 rules listed in the terms of use. A notice, warning or violation may be issued to a user if he/she violates the rules with any of the following behaviors: 15. Particularly excessive off-topic posting. 16. Spamming the Boards with repeated or similar posts.
  9. Hello For Walk through or Express, you should write WT or EX on the box. Mike
  10. Hello I would need to know the exact dimensions. Height, width and thickness. Mike
  11. I believe you can but, let me double check. In the beginning, there were problems with the new submission form and this is what we were asking people to do. Just write a manual handwritten note to add these labels to the books you want these labels for on the submission form, and we will manually adjust your submission when we process this into our system. Mike
  12. CGC Restoration and Conservation FAQs | CGC Trimmed books are given an apparent grade and, in accordance with CGC's policy, are encapsulated with CGC's Restored label
  13. If you guys think it would be better, I can erase the one that takes you to the forum you are already at.
  14. As per a request, I have added links in each selling forum to the other forums, so you can go directly to another selling forum. Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only 238 This forum is for golden age, bronze age, and silver age specific postings. Usage guidelines --- Kudos forum --- Probation forum GSB Copper/Modern Misc
  15. Yes, you can. The previous owner must be significant if you are trying to pedigree it to them. You can pedigree to yourself with no issues.
  16. There seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about this. Is a Poll needed?
  17. Hello It's not the same as comics. If you want the back of the label to say _______ Collection, you can. You just need to pay the $5. But we do need to approve them. For example, we will not do them for box breaks we were not part of. Here is what it says about them on our website: Pedigree A pedigree can be added to the certification label to indicate a card's past or present ownership. To pedigree a card to a previous owner, that collector or collection must be considered to be significant by CGC Trading Cards and sufficient documentation must be provided to confirm the requested pedigree. You can pedigree a card to yourself, typically without providing any documentation.
  18. I am only concerned about images. It is fine to sell underground comics as long as the nudity in the form of images posted isn't too explicit.
  19. The terms of use were rewritten this year to be a little more lenient when it comes to sexual content. With that said, some underground images are still not allowed. Nude images: Given that this is a comic book collecting forum, some leeway for actual comic imagery is provided, more so than non-comic related imagery. Some nudity is allowed when it is comic related and done in a tasteful manner. However, there are many comics that are quite explicit and aren't allowed to be posted here.
  20. So, If a seller doesn't state that the books are not in his/her possession, how am I supposed to know if that person is breaking the rule?
