  1. Yeah I would .. get a new case.. looks dirty too. Get a higher grade and a more attractive appearance.
  2. I will say 4.0 to 4.5 as well … this doesn’t look like a rat chew to me. @zzutak was on the right track. What I noticed right off was the browning particularly around the edges. When it starts getting dark the paper doesn’t bend much at all - it breaks off.. I think someone caught the edge on a backing board or firm surface and the paper chipped off. Just a theory for what it’s worth. Rat chews look terrible, being all ragged you can see the teeth marks
  3. I’m thinking 4.0 to 4.5 due to the burn going through 6 pages. A somewhat unusual defect.
  4. 7.0 looks a little washed out. Colors not real vibrant. Maybe just the pics
  5. When this book came out everybody was buying multiple copies and they stashed them away. It’s been a $10 book the last 20 years. There are tons of these that have never been read. Some are starting to make their way out since the price is going up and there is movie talk. Ordinarily a 9.0 would be a high grade but not for this book. Too many 9.8 9.6 out there. Just some thoughts
  6. I think it’s in the 6.5 - 7.0 range It’s showing some aging and some corner wear, light soiling, crease.
  7. 5.0 here .. cool you have Stan’s signature on this.. good one to have signed.. great collectible
  8. 5.5 here soiling. I’m assuming that’s a tear bc top right
  9. If it had some color touch or an edge trimmed… tiny bit of glue no one can even see? Like losing a game at the buzzer on a 50 footer.. this books value has been steadily climbing
  10. It’s not that rare ..I have a few like that however it’s not common either. Does that make sense? I hope. IMO if there was no staple ever there from the original manufacturing it’s a non-factor. On the super high end grades manufacturing issues can come into play tho.
  11. 8.0 to 8.5 as is. There are some significant indentations on the covers - depends how effective the press is getting those out
  12. I think 8.5 as well. If they are harsh you could see a 8.0. But this was potentially a high grade book that would’ve been in the 9 plus range. The smudge hurts but it’s still a nice copy
