  1. I considered my FF 10 to be pretty decent when I bought it!
  2. Today’s two. Subby’s dialogue runs a bit out of character in #9 at times, but still an epic!
  3. The first comic I remember seeing is Fantastic Four 93. I was being baby sat by the neighbor, and bravely snuck into their eldest son’s room. Fresh off the rack, he had it enshrined on his music stand. Very impressive display. The first comic I ever bought was Marvel Super-Heroes 45, a reprint of Tales To Astonish 90. Both Subby and Hulk got their tails whooped, and my older brothers told me I HAD to buy the next issue to see them get even!
  4. Yes, if you're talking true collaboration. Rawhide Kid 17 is a huge book. I consider it the first hint of the Marvel Method. It's their first time dealing with any real continuity as a team.
  5. If I were a lawyer, I’d bind my Marvel’s Greatest Comics run and hide it in plain sight in my office, right there amid the law books. Give it the right title and you’d never get caught!
  6. Oh, I’ve got a way to read 6! I have a strict rule about Fantastic Four; I must have reading access to all Kirby issues all the time. I’ve got 10 or so FF slabs, but they’re all open books to me!
  7. I do not consider Rawhide Kid 17 to be Atlas. If it's post-implosion, it's Marvel*. All books mentioned are cool, but Marvel collectors are voracious, and they want ALL Marvel keys; Rawhide Kid 17and Two-Gun Kid 60 are Marvel keys, so they are targeted by silver age collectors. Far fewer Atlas western collectors out there. * Just my opinion, but I really believe it. Applies to PHMs too.
  8. It’s not as awful as the “split” Captain Marvel.
  9. I've got a red maple now, but it hasn't started showing off yet.
  10. Those are astounding! I can’t really play here, but I do have this. Not bound comics, but recolored scans! A labor of love for a Kirby fan who shops at my LCS. He doesn’t know me, but heard of my love of Kirby thru the store. He GAVE me this book just because I love The King. Comic people are the best.
  11. Straw-Man stops, I start! I’ve owned this copy of #2 for 30 years.
  12. I’m IN! Love these; I’ve even worn them to conventions.
  13. ... I wonder where they bought the paper to make it...
  14. FF annual 1 is a Monumental comic that doesn’t get enough love! Congrats! Wish mine was that nice!
