    Ol’ Sam wrote on all his comics. My LCS had his collection for a good while. This was among the nicer ones. I kind of like it.

    It’s October, and every October I reread the Mignola Hellboy. Or at least, the ones I have in trades; Seed of Destruction thru Strange Places. And every year I again marvel at the magnificence of the work. I got so enthused this year that I bought a set of Mignola’s adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I know it will be pretty, I hope it will be good!

    This #14 was sold to me by Bob Gelner, who has run a comic store in town since the mid 1970s. He let me have it from his personal collection. It’s been 30 or so years, and he still brings it up when I see him!
