  1. I’ve got some of these tucked away! Forgot about em!
  2. Hulk like beans. And ancient recycled gags, apparently.
  3. Mysterio’s web-melting mist must work on scanners, too.
  4. Busy days. Missed yesterday due to technical difficulties. Happy Halloween! The Word of the Day is “apotheosis”. It means the highest point of excellence. It applies to the Fantastic Four when Joe Sinnott inks the title. Not just beautiful; so good that when Kirby saw the finished pages, he had to up his game.
  5. The Thing. His role in the FF has him doing all the heavy lifting, metaphorically. He takes the lumps, and is always ready to sacrifice for the family. Plus, he’s hilarious.
  6. You’ve probably seen it, but I love it so much I just have to post it again.
  7. Stan Lee seemed to live a charmed life. During WWII, Jack Kirby fought under Patton in France. Stan Lee stayed stateside, and was the only man in the US armed forces to hold the job designation of “playwright”.
  8. Yeah, I knew that those earliest issues weren’t quite up there, but they’re all awfully nice, and I allowed myself some hyperbole with “everything”.
  9. That’s loose talk for someone who has such nice copies of the Fantastic Four annuals!
  10. ASM annual 1 is like the instruction manual for collecting Spideys!
  11. It’s a cool book, but calling it horror may be a stretch. That skeleton is adorable. Along these lines, I just bought an EC that I think is significant, but isn’t recognized generally. I’ll post it here when I get it, and I’ll hope for the forum’s opinions!
