  1. Might try calling them else you might post in the Ask CGC forum. They usually respond there on weekday mornings.
  2. Yes, most folks use their own boxes and materials to pack and ship for submissions.
  3. From his sales thread: “I'm asking $10,000, but I imagine I'll end up taking a best offer considerably lower. At any rate, first one to 'take it' at $10,000 gets it, if it happens that way.“
  4. With all the random stuff being slabbed with the books lately, maybe they’re testing encapsulating posters, cards, COAs, hairs, random scraps of paper, etc. that are submitted with books.
  5. Interesting….Seller (board member) canceled a sale because he found out from another CGC thread that his book was potentially rare. He now has it listed in the Copper/Modern sale forum for 50 times what he had it on ebay. Others’ thoughts?
  6. Got some great deals on some cool books. Arrived safely and securely. Thanks!
  7. ahh yes, the eBay blue light special layaway plan....
  8. Take these two as well for 30% off (not sure if you also got my previous darkwing duck take)
  9. An antique flea market store? edit: he mentioned an antique mall previously in this thread
  10. Ha! what happens when I post with no coffee in my system...it was Darkwing Duck...
  11. take for 30% off (if this isn't part of the 30% off, will still take)
  12. No, you may not get it back. Also, signed books not witnessed by CGC will not get the yellow label.
  13. Recently started consigning some slabs on MCS (via auctions) and am really happy with how easy it all went. On that note, I thought I saw somewhere that winners of auctions have 15 days to pay? Can someone confirm? What happens when they don't pay after that? Does a book/slab go back into another auction? @mycomicshop
  14. Got some good deals. Comics shipped safely and quickly. Will definitely buy from again. Thanks!
  15. I’m guessing people abuse it by claiming something was wrong with the item or some other fake complaint to get a refund through paypal and keep the item and the money…
  16. Someone can prob confirm but I think older labels had it on outside. A quick search has someone asking about how the “newer” label has the top label on the inside: https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/468927-authentic-cgc-case-and-seal/
  17. No, CGC doesn't work with you to get a better grade. They won't tell you if you do or don't need the pressing even if you've paid for it, but I heard they sometimes will contact you if they think it could damage a book (someone can prob confirm if true or not). They sometimes offer grading notes after grading for some of the books with lower grades (but not always). There is an option to have them prescreen them for certain grades with a fee for rejected comics. As far as the tier to submit, most will say to go with what you feel you are comfortable with for insurance purposes (how much would it cost you to replace that book if it were damaged or lost?).
