  1. Those normally have a holo strip in the upper right corner, it's possible it was a store reseal. However, most store reseals are not folded so I can see how it got the counterfeit designation. The upc bars on top don't match the same on yours as other Max Payne's, so they are probably made up, you might could scan it and see if it comes up correctly. I don't have any PS2 games with Security Device across the top, that's normally an Xbox thing, and they don't have bars. Security Device Enclosed is much easier to fake than the actual white label across the top.(much less holo strip) Sadly, there are people that reseal games, and some are pretty good. I have purchased a few counterfeits over the years and I didn't find out until they were sent in for grading. I feel your Payne..
  2. Didn't know you were into origami
  3. Did you click the shipped and get a tracking number? Pretty fast turn around, last order I sent took less than a week.
  4. That's for economy shipping too, probably more for Priority, overnight deliver would likely crash another bank.
  5. Personally, I think Eerie #18 is tougher to find than #17, at least in high grade.
  6. Clear as mud.. So inserts are graded separately, but they don't count towards the grade? (only visible grades are Box, Manual, Cart) If inserts are missing does that go against the Manual grade? or the overall grade? or not at all? Sorry, just trying to understand.
  7. CIB seems to be Manual, Game and Box grades, do the other items in the box, or not in the box (Flyers, Maps, Ads) matter? In other words, if we submit a game with Manual, Game, and Box, that originally had a flyer, but we don't have it, will it still be graded as CIB? Would it effect the grade?
  8. I reckon he listed it using this computer..
  9. They will send you an email that it has been shipped, to find the tracking you need to go to completed orders, then click status. There should be a link that says Shipped, it will go to the tracking.
  10. I think it's one of Sutton's best covers, or at least one of my favorites of his.
  11. I have a pretty good idea when it comes to games, I have been submitting games for grading for over a decade (maybe not CGC but other companies). When I see games 9.6 with A++ seal, it makes me go hmm. So it had a perfect wrapper, but they didn't think it was a 9.8 undamaged box, not sure how that can even happen without damaging the seal. Modern DVD style boxes don't damage easily, the seal is another story. Probably someone having a bad day, I could crack them out and re-submit them, but they were newer games, so it would be a waste.
  12. This last one went for $820, $10 more than the last ridiculous one. Actually, it's the same one, so it didn't technically sell the first time, guess none of the under-bidders wanted it.
  13. I sent some games, they arrived at CGC on Monday, graded and shipped out today. However, they either were damaged in shipping, or just graded harshly. All moderns, some I had purchased in the last year or so, and they were perfect when they left, not so much now. 9.4 and 9.6 seem like crappy grades to me for modern games, I have received 9.8's on older games, will see when they get here. So be careful what you wish for, maybe slower is better.
  14. There's an end in sight, unfortunately only the start is visible. On the bright side, by the time you get them they will be older and hopefully worth more...(aged like fine wine)
  15. It's up to $760, but the last bidder has 0 feedback, still some guy with 570 feedback had bid $750.
  16. Really? Not even a silver or gold foil, much less blue. Vampirella Commemorative
  17. I see in the details for the $30 crossover special that it says WATA graded games, does that mean that only WATA? Or are games graded by VGA and others included?
  18. Printer issues were a real thing, Creepy #9 is rare due to a bad blade at the printer that tore hundreds of copies that were later scrapped because they were unacceptable.
  19. I think you will find some of the other Warren's with different widths. Pretty sure some Eerie issues (#7 for example) are wider than some of the other issues, not a lot, but a little bit wider. Most of the time it depended on the printer, and Warren didn't use the same printer all the time. That's why some issues are more scarce than others, or slightly different in size. It was nothing planned, it was either the printer couldn't get to it, or prices changed. Both of these were scanned with the same scanner, but look how close to the edge the #7 is.
  20. Almost forgot these were still for sale bump.
  21. Was it? or were 1, 2, & 3 oversized and the printer changed the specs? Without an After Hours #5 it's hard to say. If you are concerned about trimming, I don't think that's an issue. Pretty sure this one measures the same as yours.
  22. If Warren had started his publishing in New York rather than Philadelphia, After Hours would have probably run for more than 4 issues, and maybe even into the 80's like most of the other titles. Would he have still started Famous Monsters? Hard to say, he was forced out of the girlie mags and thereby HAD to find another form of publishing. If anything it would have likely been a few years later. The Cinema 57 issue had a lot to do with it, not just After Hours #4. If you want to get technical, the After Hours #1 with the Bettie Page centerfold that got him shut down might have been the key to it all. So many factors, hard to point at just one.
