  1. The covers that catapulted him to stardom. Vote for FIVE. Note: The poll would only allow 20 entries, so I omitted issue #1, assuming it would get everyone's vote. Click through to image to enlarge
  2. So you're saying some Buscema die-hard trades half his collection for a great Silver Surfer #4 page and has to vote 5 lesser things in ahead of it in that category? (Disclaimer: I voted for both of my submissions... because I love them)
  3. It's not about the price. It's not necessarily about the lettering. It's about the drastic difference in eras.
  4. The biggest reason would be to split a category with 400 entries into 2 categories. The secondary reason would so that a Kirby/Sinnott twice up Fantastic Four page is not in the same category as a non-lettered, pencil page which was drawn in 2021. At least make an attempt to compare apples to apples.
  5. I like this idea, at least for the main categories (Cover, Splash, Panel Page) Gold / Silver / Bronze / Copper / Modern? (too many?) Pre-Image / Post-Image? (1992) Pre-2000 / Post-2000?
  6. ...oooh, that's right. Forgot this one had already been in HA.
  7. The Hulk 330 cover has been sitting around on eBay for a while, so some possible fatigue, but it's a pretty important cover nonetheless.
  8. So question for the board on that FF page: does that look like "76" or "96?" The angular straight edges at the top bar make it look like a "7," but was Stan signing Marvel OA in '76? Does that fit in with the timeline of returned pages, etc..?
  9. Hey, at least it's a character he created, and in her vintage costume..... they had him sign covers with Psylocke and Spider-Gwen, etc.
  10. I heard a different story regarding the Campbell/Stan signatures.... anyone in the know want to tell it?
  11. Thoughts on the McFarlane page at $72k? Detailed page with great shots of Spidey in action from the original ASM run, however some fading present.
  12. Wolverine is of course the more popular character, however when it comes to Miller fans/collectors (the ones doing the buying), DD was always right up there or even a bit ahead IIRC. Would a great DD vs. Hand Ninjas action page sell for that amount? (150k) If not, what about a great DD vs. the Punisher? DD vs. Bullseye?
  13. That was a great Wolverine page. Soooo..... Where does Wolverine stand in relation to Miller Daredevil? More expensive than regular DD pages but less expensive than DD pages with Elektra? (For as long as I've been collecting, it seems that really good DD pages, even without Elektra, have been more expensive than Wolverine pages.)
  14. Shocked by this result: Mignola Hellboy
  15. People love Wolverine, but the #3 cover is not their favorite. To put in context, the DD189 cover sold for 100k in 2010.
  16. Regarding Milgrom, I will say that there's quite a bit of nostalgia for PPSM from around that time. The romance with Black Cat was a storyline that tied stories together for a couple years, and that stretch included a great Doc Ock saga, some Punisher issues, some Cloak & Dagger stuff (they were "hot" back then) Still, Milgrom was the artist everyone at my LCS used to take jabs at back when I was a teen, which is why that page blew me away.
  17. A couple of 'wow' auction results to me.... $16k for small art Kirby/Coletta Thor. Cool 4-panel action page, but not really a complete shot of Thor/Thor's face. https://www.comicconnect.com/item/974883?tzf=1 $21k for Milgrom 9-panel interior. Yes, it's Black Costume Spidey kissing upside-down, but man, 21k for Milgrom interiors. I'm shocked. https://www.comicconnect.com/item/973903 $45k Buscema Galactus (1988) splash. Not from the original Surfer run...Is this a lot? It seems like a lot. https://www.comicconnect.com/item/974984?tzf=1
  18. I dunno. I don't collect Jim Lee, but he has been a top-5 artist in comics for what, 35 years now?
  19. Man, the Art Adams stuff has been selling QUICK of late.... how much was it?
  20. Disagree. There have been plenty of pages from that issue with no Wolverine which sold for standard McHulk pricing.
  21. Other stuff did well I thought (especially by CLink standards) 43k for Miller Spec Spidey panel page 6,800 for McFarlane Hulk page. (cool page, but no Hulk on it) 6,600 for a Frazetta Conan sketch. It was cool, but was both small and loose.
  22. 60¢ Marvel comics, that's my sweet spot. I got my first 60¢ Marvel Cover 20 years ago..... and haven't gotten another since. Somehow or another I landed not one but two of my childhood favorites this year.
