The man has his place in history whether folks like it or not. Without Stan a lot would be different. Not sure if all of us had the chance to meet him in person, or listen to a live interview. He was an incredible person. In my opinion any published art that shows him has quite a value. Nuff said.

Here is a piece I have for a while and I am always wondering whether it was possibly published. I bought it directly from Alan Kupperberg and he did not let this piece go easy. I mean all these picture companies go after the little guys for exactly what this topic is about. Using an image without permission. This can cost thousands of dollars. But unless we don’t know what image it was, whether it showed a trademark character that is again owned by someone else....we can’t really give a good advice.

Interesting question. I have seen pretty much everything you can imagine on the back of pages and always thought it’s just a warm up procedure of the inker inking random stuff they just thought of at that time.

I had many deals with Spencer. My experience is that you clearly need to say what it is and what you want, and you get an answer. Vague emails seem to get no response. I second the before mentioned, I also decided to get a Bagley commission. My commission is not done yet but all the communication was easy and straight forward. He also helped in the past to get in touch with various artist to either buy art or get a commission. Is the website awful, yes no question asked. And I have a feeling he knows. But to sum it up, I had many good communications and purchases with him.

I waited YEARS to make that joke. Fun aside, it is obvious that I am a bit focused on Marvel characters, but do have a few nice Batman pieces that aren’t posted. Ham is another focus, but only because to me that is a classic fun comic character. Big foot, looney tunes, call it whatever you like. I love it ! And not all comic related stuff needs to be so serious (oh here you go there is another Batman reference) 😂, or at least a close one.
