    Sorry but I am confused. You brought this up, implying the book was only pressed, asking how this happened. If this is not your book, how do you know anything about it ? How are we suppossed to know what happened ? The book may have been worked on to remove the restoration.

    It's possible, but if that's what happened, it's even more scary. Imagine submitting a book, getting a PLOD and selling it only to have the buyer get a clean bill of health on a resub. Minimally, the collecting community should have an explanation about this.

    The original post on this implied it was just a press. If so, something is wrong, something was missed. If it was 'unrestored', it's a little disconcerting to see the grade did not change. I understand the PQ got bumped, no big deal. But to remove restoration should see the grade go down.

    HPB has been useless for me for a while now. First off, the secret is out and the flippers are in there constantly. Unless my timing is lucky, they are picked clean. Also, the employees obviously get first shot and either buy or hold the good stuff for themselves. I agree that they have snuck up the prices and only the drek is truly half price.

    Looking at the Back cover pic, you can see how the inside pages fan out from the cover, excessively so. You will see this sometimes on a book with a bad spine roll but your book looks to be centered nicely. To minimize the Marvel chipping on the right edge, somebody decided to start trimming the covers.

    That's a pretty good size crack, indicating a poweful impact to the case. Wouldn't the right thing to do is to get it reholdered ? Not sure how can you claim the grade is not affected and sell it as is, with No Returns .

    I think a press/clean will not accomplish anything. There's so much going on with this book I would be afraid of inflicting more damage. You could detach the cover or something and wind up with a 0.5 .

    How do you guys expect CGC to get any work done, like actually grading comics, with your endless stream of requests ? It's been over 3 years since they've addressed this thread. I wouldn't expect much. Sorry, just calling it as I see it.

    They are very thin, just a few pages, correct ? Sorry but I don't think they are worth anything, probably a buck apiece.

    Nice loooking book, congrats ! The notes are only free to the submitter, which appears to be your LCS. You do realize you are asking us to buy the notes for you ?
