  1. The CGI Captain Scarlet series done a few years back was good.
  2. I fell for this every time I saw it on the cover in the 70s - Exactly. Just like I did when I was in my early teens in the 70s - especially with that issue, Star Wars 1. Time for another group to make all the same mistakes all over again.
  3. During the 90's boom period I think it was hyped more because of Ghost Rider becoming a hot character?
  4. You can get immersed in the game for a very, very long time. You should consider playing the preceding Elder Scrolls title, Oblivion, as well. Fantastic RPGs. I found Oblivion harder to get into. A bit too much in depth in certain aspects than Skyrim Oblivion was the first RPG I'd played since Final Fantasy 7, and I really enjoyed it. I was glad I persisted with it. You had to be quite careful with the levelling system ; Skyrim's is better. I do get what you mean when you compare the two Elder Scrolls games against each other, though.

  6. A Merry Christmas to all the boardies that have participated in this thread, a time of celebration enjoyable whether old or young, and during which our different, age-related opinions on gourmet coffee, vinyl records and the music of Rush can be put to one side for such an all-too-brief period. Have a good one.
  7. To signify the seminal role that CGC has taken in the slabbed comic industry. (thumbs u CGC pancake TATs are wicked fast! They forgot to note "1st Appearance of Flapjack" on the label Quite useless, especially now that the price has gone stratospheric after an appearance in the Agents of IHOP TV show.
  8. Until you've perfected your technique, maybe you could practice using other letter combinations, such as PGX or MHC? At least it will give you a bit of variety.
  9. I kept trying to place why she seemed so familiar. (thumbs u She reminds me more of Priscilla Presley, from the Naked Gun films. Pervs. I also think that the actor playing Detective Gordon looks a lot like Sean Pertwee / Alfred. Strange to cast two such similar-looking actors in key roles on the same show, especially when they are supposed to be completely unrelated.
  10. Do they do gluten-free cupcakes at the supermarkets here? I must check.
  11. Another great thread from you. My ginger biscuits are gluten-free, and were nicely-warming on a cold, English December afternoon. I also have some GF Christmas cake ready and waiting.
  12. Probably a reference to Marvel's crime Kingpin, Wilson Fisk.

  14. At first I thought it was going to be a Daily Mash or NewsBiscuit article.
  15. Maybe they couldn't use The Goat because that's the name of Quantum and Woody's sidekick?
  16. Hubbahubba She looks cheerful. Proto-goth chick.
  17. Quite often with poorer page quality you can also see a presentation bump, so as an 8.0 C/OW that looks ridiculous.
  18. Honestly no not really. I wasn't that impressed with 3 for some reason. 2 was mind blowing and I loved the heck out of it. 3 just seemed so over the top. It was like everything bad that could ever would happen happened. If reviews are positive, then I will. Like I said, 2 was incredible. I enjoyed Uncharted 3, except for the sequence where you're walking alone through the desert, which was a drag.
  19. It's deceptively simple for a feline. They just relax and roll with the shockwave.
  20. I forgot about the last Tomb Raider game, which was the closest in the series to Uncharted in terms of gameplay. I also enjoyed the HD remaster of the first 3 Crystal Dynamics games as well - Legend, Anniversary and Underworld.
  21. - Skyrim Legendary Edition - Infamous 2 - Arkham City - Dishonored
  22. The PS3's the console I've enjoyed having more than any other.
  23. A forgotten classic from that era...had something to do with the artists being upset? Was that issue's use of empty space genuine artistic expression, or Byrne just being lazy and in a 'couldn't be arsed that month' type of mood?
  24. This documentary might interest you... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04c3l7j/play-it-loud-the-story-of-the-marshall-amp
  25. I remember the issue of Tom Strong where he finds himself in a funny animal universe and meets his rabbit-headed counterpart, Warren Strong.
