  1. That sounds a bit familiar. Did he like baked beans with a nice Chablis?
  2. That graemlin should be mine. Or, a new one resembling a cormorant.
  3. I've actually been able to catch up on some TV. Just finished Arrow Season 1 and thought it was excellent. Just getting round to watching True Detective, with Fargo next on the list. Best time of the year to catch up on missed quality telly... Fargo was excellent. Especially Billy Bob. Well written, involving from beginning to end. I've been catching up on the Fringe Complete Blu-ray set I bought before Xmas. Another excellent series, second time through now. Fringe is outstanding. Did you watch the "lost " episode thats in one of the special features of the disc? I didn't notice that. I'll make sure I watch it. Just googled this. Do you mean the 'Unearthed' episode, Season 2 box set? Luckily enough, that's the season I'm currently watching.

  5. I'm impressed with your extremely diverse range of pets, Jimmers. People tend to forget just how adorable, faithful and playful scorpions are - love being taken down the park for a game of catch-the-frisbee with their pincers. Really, tremendous fun watching them scuttle around.
  6. Maybe a visit to Garry's farm would be therapeutic?
  7. I wonder who did the artwork for the Brian Jepson ad? Wrightson or Brunner linework there. That shading style, anyway.
  8. I remember this issue well. Great read. It had a still from a film called 'The Incredible Melting Man', which I thought looked quite disturbing at the time. Now, of course, you're generally more desensitised to this type of material.
  9. Jimmers you are the best. Where in Canada are you >? You've got to admire that.
  10. Evil Fabulous Empire Sounds like a mash-up of Queensryche and Rage Against the Machine with the Village People and Scissor Sisters. There's a thought.
  11. Must make trousers a nuisance. No problem for Andrew or Kevin here, Jimmers. Remember that the North East has world-class tailors - their predecessors created the perfect, fitted t-shirt that, while tissue-thin, forms a thermally-occlusive layer efficient enough to completely protect the wearer from the extreme weather conditions encountered along the English periphery of the North Sea. We must hang out sometime, somewhere. I am certain we would get along. I agree. (thumbs u

  13. ... of randomness begins. All-new, all-different. Sunny here, on the West Coast - it's no longer grim.
  14. If it's anything to do with my posts, I'm betting it was a disgruntled Brony.
  15. +1 With hindsight, I realised that the comment I made about the sport of daintily-trotting horses was maybe a bit provocative and tasteless and could've deeply offended someone, enough for them to hit the moderator button and place the thread in jeopardy. You can imagine my relief when I found it was still here.
  16. It is a hard, frighteningly-brutal man's sport, which scares even seasoned, professional ice hockey players.
  17. Great news. Hellboy 2 is on my top 10 super-hero film list. Big fan of Del Toro's work.
  18. The frame is worth £40? Apparently, a couple of them sold. Encapsulation, UK style. No grading, but you do get a nice, shiny frame.
  19. A small mart was held in a shopping centre near here a couple of weekends ago. Interesting product on sale - cheap comics, such as Marvel Fanfare 1, mounted in silver picture frames - for £40 each.
  20. The last Leeds Golden Orbit mart I attended was in summer 94, then held at the university. It got to the stage where I was only finding one or two comics and it wasn't worth the effort. They were at their peak in the early to mid 80s at the Griffin Hotel. Enjoyed those.
  21. I've just finished it a couple of days ago. The Necromorphs are faster, more aggressive and attack in larger groups in many places, compared to DS 1. Also, one of the best-looking games I've seen on PS3 - extremely detailed full HD graphics, nice lighting effects. Excellent.
  22. Here's a link to some public domain Charlton books for you to read... http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?cid=264
