I’m sure many of us were waiting for this one. Just as tempted - I’ll always admit that.

Possibly a very dedicated Neal Adams fan?

More flashbacks on Apokolips would’ve been good. -

The first original, imported, American Kirby comic I ever owned. Fond memories. -
Especially with all of those extra ammo pouches supplied as a WAM member perk. It was 1991, that was the style.

Thanks. I was so tempted to post this.

Disappointing video, as I was expecting a mint Action Comics 1. -

Very true. Great perspective. I'm always thankful that I can read paper pamphlets comfortably rather than be living in a cardboard box. For example.

Disney+'s MOON KNIGHT series starring Oscar Isaac (2022)
Ken Aldred replied to philsbackpack's topic in The Movie Forum
I haven’t seen it, but hopefully it isn’t posh Received English or bad Cockney, once again. We have many other accents. -
I’d maybe consider reading Thanos Quest as well, which leads into it.
-
Tame, but also lame, that is, weak and ineffectual, now that you mention it.
-
Compared to some of the experiences I've had in person in comic stores or at conventions, where you can't immediately disconnect from the abuse, I've found this place to be quite tame.

Ah yes, as one of the resident Silver Surfers I remember that one well.

I don’t have the energy or focus to continue engaging in a drawn-out, keyboard warrior fight and would give up after a couple of posts, anyway. Really can’t be bothered in situations like these. An occasional short post is me working within my limitations, which in this context is actually a positive.

Sad to hear there have been medical complications which affected his work.

Nicely ironic.

Books 8 to 135 JSA (128 in total)... JSA Secret Files and Origins 1, 2 JSA Our Worlds At War one-shot JLA JSA Secret Files and Origins 1, continued in JLA JSA Virtue and Vice GN JSA All-Stars 1 to 8 JSA Annual 1 JSA 1 to 76 Justice Society of America 1 to 26 Justice Society of America Annual 1 Justice Society of America, Kingdom Come Special : Superman, Magog, and The Kingdom Justice League of America 8 to 10 Lightning Saga tie-ins, 11, 12 Hawkman 23 to 25 Black Reign tie-ins A very consistent and highly-readable series by Johns and Goyer. Lots of great stuff; sequels to Zero Hour and Kingdom Come, the introduction of Johnny Sorrow in a quite bizarre Lovecraftian story, Injustice be Done, Stealing Thunder, time travel stories in which the modern JSA visits ancient Egypt, and also teams up with the Golden Age version in the 1940s, Black Reign and the start of Black Adam's Kahndaq saga, and lots of quality shorter stories throughout.

Any love for Scout and Scout : War Shaman ?
Ken Aldred replied to Grendel72's topic in Comics General
Tim Truman’s book? Good series. Also liked his Hawkworld mini-series and, of course, Grimjack, written by John Ostrander. Great 80s indies. -

WORST film you witnessed or heard of (comic book or otherwise)
Ken Aldred replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
It's inventive. I'm sure that hiding inside it is some deep Protestant symbolism. But, I'm secular, so there's uncertainty.- 436 replies

Have you ever seen a book get damage inside a case?
Ken Aldred replied to do-boy99's topic in Comics General
Easily. Case could survive a bad impact in transit apparently undamaged, as with my first CGC board purchase, a 9.6 Harbinger 1. The impact detached the cover completely from the staples, but the case wasn't even slightly cracked. Extreme SCS. -
Just thinking about that title. Wally Wood art.

What is your first comic book in your collection
Ken Aldred replied to chuckfregeau's topic in Comics General
Alternatively, this was my actual first exposure to the comics medium, given to me by my parents when I was 3 years old… Online image. British reprint.
