  1. That is a great book 1koko -- one of my all-time favorite Flessel covers. Congrats!
  2. Wow, Jon. Mere words cannot describe how impressive that is.
  3. Ronaldo, I thought that you were collecting those Flessel cover Tecs. Did you upgrade?
  4. Sure thing, RHG. I guess your Smash run does not go up to 27? Scrooge, that was awesome. What a strange coincidence that Wildfire -- who can control fire -- ends up tangling with "Fire Devil." Can you imagine what it would have been like if that strip had been drawn by Matt Baker.
  5. Now we're talking, thanks BZ. (Although I am enjoying the other posts too) Would you happen to have a New Adventure 26 or 27?
  6. Adam, I never get tired of looking at that beautiful book. The rest of the posted covers are great too. Here is one of my favorites, which I've posted before:
  7. BZ, how many New Adventures do you have (Adv. nos. 12-31)? Could you post any?
  8. Richard, I really like 7.5 books like that with water drop stains. Will you sell it to me (really)?
  9. Rick, this intrigues me. WW #4 was published in early 1943. By then, Church had been buying his books straight off the newsstand for many years. My understanding of the double slash second-hand books is that they generally preceded the time in the late 30's when Church started buying all of his books firsthand. Are there other second-hand Church books from as late as 1943? Maybe Timely or someone else from CGC can chime in on this... Great set of books, by the way. hello all... CGC confirmed on the label it was the Mile High copy...maybe not the second hand double slash version (I don't see them on the cover), but certainly is not of the high grade that is typically found of church books...I believe this book was bought by S. Ritter from the Dentist ebay auctions of Geppi's MH WW run (had about 20 or so of them), that made its way to me... rick Rick, maybe I misunderstood your initial description. What did you mean when you said: "this is one of the double lined 'secondary' copies"?
  10. Of all the July 1939 comics to choose from, he sure picked a doozy!

  12. Here is a Star Ranger #1. It has a different feel from the covers of the subsequent issues. Unfortunately, the jumbo size makes it too wide for my scanner.
  13. Wow, that book is smoking for a supposed 5.0. I thought it looked great in the Heritage scan, but it looks even better in your pic. Is there anything wrong with it other than a little water damage and a tiny spot of glue?
  14. Koko, you have been picking up quite a few Tecs over the last year. How many of the pre-heros are you still missing?
  15. Beautiful Tec 12, congratulations. What's the grade?
  16. Wow Steve, that's a beauty. How do you always manage to find such great books in that condition?
  17. Rick, congrats on your swift success. You obviously need to find a more challenging run to go after.
