  1. Those two captives have some awfully long necks. Great books BZ.
  2. Thanks for all the information Scott. That was very informative.
  3. Would one or more of you storage experts please comment on how the CGC holder stacks up to these recommended mylar/mylite storage methods. In other words, from a storage conservation standpoint, is there any reason to crack the CGC slab and reholder the book in a mylar and mylite? Also, is a slabbed book sealed in a 100% air-tight sleeve inside the outer CGC holder? As you can tell from these questions, I haven't cracked any of my slabs yet.
  4. Great pick-up Steve. I've never seen that issue for sale before. How was the Orange County Con, by the way?
  5. Those are interesting books Fuelman. How hard are they to find?
  6. Beautiful copy of a very uncommon book. I like the others you are posting too.
  7. You're thinking of Wow #2 Mark. I don't know of 4-5 of them turning up this past year, but there was a complete set recently which is pretty mind-boggling. The only copy of #2 I ever owned is now safe in the Jon Berk collection. Great stuff BZ! It's always a treat to see your new photos I've seen 3 Wow #2s: Jon Berk's, the Lost Valley copy, and the copy in the set sold last year by Al Stoltz.
  8. Stunning book Steve. Just like the rest of your magnificent collection, a portion of which you were kind enough to let me ogle in person a couple of weeks ago. I've never seen so many white-paged beauties.
  9. Nice New Adventure 18. Very tough book to find. What's the grade?
  10. Now why can't we see more posts like this? Classy Mea Culpa Bedrock.
  11. Great book Ryan. And it is a lot rarer than one would think based on the number of copies that have been posted in the Golden Age forum.
  12. Your books are gorgeous Richard. In your experience, how uncommon is the MM #2 compared to other early books in the run? At one point it was considered one of the least common; does that still hold true today?
  13. BZ, I don't know if you are taking requests on a "first come first served" basis, but if you look back on page 1 of this thread, I asked to see your pre-hero Detectives. Also, some time ago FFB asked if you had New Adventure 13, 26 and 27. It would be neat to see those too.
  14. BZ, what is the earliest book in the collection? I notice it includes a Jumbo 8, which is from June/July 1939.
  15. Great memorabilia. I have one from 1939 initialed by Vin Sullivan. Makes all this stuff come alive. jon Are the first two lines crediting Siegel with work on a Spectre strip? I recognize the other strips listed as being his, but did not know he did work on the Spectre.
  16. Nice books, keep them coming. I'm looking forward to the early Tecs.
  17. That poor girl in the leopard skin bikini sure gets attacked and tied up a lot.
  18. Let me be the first to congratulate you. That is something else.
  19. YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY SUPER-DUPER WELCOME! I was trying to be extra nice to set an example for the people posting in the General Forum. I took a peek over there and my computer screen caught fire from the heat in the Manufactured Gold thread.
  20. With all of the excitement over Creig Flessel today, it's time to dust off another one of his great covers. This has always been one of my favorites:
  21. For such an important auction, you would think the seller would have taken a little more care in writing his description. Makes me question whether it is legit.
