Agreed. Batman #1 also introduces a villain that is arguably more popular than Captain America. I don't think it will overtake Supes #1 though, due to supply.
-
I am in the opposite camp. It is sort of like saying Detective #1 is more important than Action #1 or Tec #27 . MC 1 is the first Timely book, but did not introduce any characters of note. As a result, Cap 1 should be recognized as the bigger/more important book.
-
Thanks. I have not been following Timely prices, but I remember a few years back when there was still a debate whether which one is the bigger book.
-
How does Cap 1 stack up against MC 1 now?

If you are patient you will find one with a nice wrap for a decent price. Here is my newest copy for the pile. Not quite a perfect wrap, but when I saw it listed at $225 a couple of weeks ago I figured why not. My other copy has a better, but not quite perfect, wrap:

We are halfway through season 2 now after starting to binge watch it last week/weekend. This show is a blast. They did a great job in selecting the cast for it, and the writing is very good for the most part as well.
-
I wonder if it can top $100M domestic on the opening weekend?
-
They launched this one in all markets at once? Looks like it should tail off quickly then due to competition. Smart move by Disney to grab as much $$$ as it can up front.

I am curious to see where this film ends up at the box office. SS was an okay popcorn flick that did way better than expected due to the female viewership. This movie should do even better as even non comic movie watching women I know and/or work with are excited to see it.

kimik replied to accessndx's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
The CGC 5.5 Conserved (Restored) copy went for more than I expected it to on Heritage tonight. Final price with the juice was $4541: https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/the-brave-and-the-bold-28-justice-league-of-america-dc-1960-cgc-conserved-fn-55-off-white-pages/a/121722-14318.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 -

If you want to see a fun scene with Gal Gadot in lingerie check out Keeping up with the Joneses. We watched it for the first time with our kids last night and that was the most focused my son was all movie. The one thing that my wife and I agreed on after watching that film is that unlike a lot of models turned actor/actress, Gadot can act.
